I always wanted to try my hand at customs and I made this little guy a few months back, but never picked up paint to cover up the sculpey and seams. Anyway it was my attempt at an Ash from the evil dead series, as you can see he reeks of first attempt. I would have like to try to sculpt one from scratch but after seeing SLUG zombies will have a version, it kinda took the wind out of my sails. Anyway it's not the greatest pic, I also grabbed the wrong paint. Enamel is no good for softer plastics apparently.

Hey, that's not bad!
Honestly, enamels kind of suck on plastics... Acrylics ARE plastic, and take to MUSCLEs nicely.
Good work, buddy. Keep it up! I'd like to see your skill progress!

Shop smart. Shop s-mart.

I dig it man, in a flesh color i'd want one for sure.

The slug version has an electric knife instead of a chainsaw which kinda pisses me off anyway.

Thanks folks, I checked another memory card and actually have a pic from before I painted him. So you can see where he's been kinda frankensteined.

Haha...love the work on his chin--that's clearly Bruce Campbell's most defining trait!

Looks cool. I know you didn't sculpt it yourself, but I really dig the plaid texture on the shirt. A line of Evil Dead/Army of Darkness mini figures would rock.

Wow has it really been 5 years since I've messed around with customs. Well lately I've messing with sculptris a bit on the slow days at work.  I wish I could continue to use clay, but that's not as easy to play around with at the office and getaway with.  Anyway I made this little guy. I still need to learn how to texture, but so far I'm liking how he's coming out.
