Aka: The guy who thinks PHD stands for "Pretty Horrible Death"!

Here in Houston we've got a fantastic local gallery called Insomnia and they have regular themed shows.  A couple of months ago was the Album Art Show, a couple of weeks ago was the Adult Swim Fan Art Show, and in late October they're having the Monster Art Show...

It is here I'll be debuting my first attempt at creating a sale-able minifigure...  DOCTOR MANIAXE!

I'm thinking about packaging him up in a little box with a Bikkuriman-styled sticker and maybe a minicomic.

Of course before I do all that I have to figure out how the hell I'm going to cast this thing!

The fact that he has a removable mask and ax is awesome... really nice touch!

Casting him is going to be my first attempt at a two-part mold.  I haven't figured out yet if I want to make him in resin or rubber...

When you get ready to try that mold, shoot me a message. I'll be happy to offer any pointers you may need.

Pretty neat.  With the mask on, he reminds me of Rick from the Splatterhouse video game series (the US cover art for the third game even had him wielding a similar axe, although there's no such weapon in the actual game).
