I didn't know exactly where to put this, so if the Mods think it needs to be moved to another section of the board, feel free to do so. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone here might know of a hard plastic that when carved, looks like bone? Kind of like a scrimshaw-ish look, and maybe behaves similar to bone when engraved. If anyone knows the answer to this question, please let me know.

A chunk of polyurethane resin is soft enough to carve and if you stained it right could look like bone. The problem is it is liquid and when mixed goes to solid, so to get your blank you need something to cast it in.

Thanks man, I might have you do this as a custom...What I'm going for is a bone-looking MoaiMan. How much would you charge me to cast one like what I described?

Let me work up a price, just to let you know if you have a deadline then you will want to go a different route, I'm buying a house and moving next month so I have zero time for anything fun.
