I just perused E-bay to see what the current price gougers were up to,and wasn't disappointed  http://www.ebay.com/...3.c100506.m3226

I think I'm going to just list what I want in the LRG (Need Toys) section from now on until this BS changes...And I won't be holding my breath hoping it does change :(

Definitely avoid buying singles on eBay. This one is particularly horrific.  If you want singles, get them here.

But you can still get good lots at good prices on eBay, 50-75 cents each, if you are patient.

True enough, but usually only if you're buying a lot of them. Like a $200.00 lot of hundreds of figures as a round about example. Not everyone has that much dough to spend on those e bay large lot sales.

Yeah AFCMan...Makes you wonder doesn't it. This kind of shady bs really makes it difficult to enjoy collecting as a hobby :(

This is not the first time the so-called "Mattel Store" has come up.

It seems strange that after all the years of research that people put in with actual Mattel employees that this store was never mentioned by anyone before 2020.

Has anyone seen any solid proof that said store ever actually existed, and is this really the kind of stuff it sold if it did?

Isn't lint-speed a legit member of LRG? I'm pretty sure I bought my Purple Claw from him without any issues some years back.(on Ebay)

Yeah, lint-speed is a member here and is a totally legit collector. I do not doubt that the truthfulness of his description as far as what he was told whenever he acquired this piece.

I am just curious about the legitimacy of the stories of provenance that come along with these items. There are well documented interviews with people directly involved with the production of M.U.S.C.L.E., which even includes info about unproduced items, but no mention of these special items sold at the Mattel Store have ever surfaced prior to 2020 to my knowledge, or outside of ebay.

I have a 28 pack with one of these stickers. The guy that sold it to me said he was a Mattel employee and said they opened up their archives recently and employees grabbed what they could. He was selling multiple items. Dont have any proof but the 28 pack is immaculate, like new condition with no tape and no bends at the box ends like it has been opened. Just wanted to throw this out there

There was an old man of Madras whose balls were made of fine brass. So in stormy weather they both clang together and sparks flew out of his ass.
