To me this doesn't seem like the sale price of someone looking to split/flip for profits. It went too high. It really just seems like someone who saw the opportunity to get a LOT of hard to find figures at once, and save perhaps years of fruitless searching.

Anyone who really is trying to collect a master set, or even certain hard to find sculpt/color combinations, knows it is very difficult to find some of them. When you have the chance to grab a whole bunch all at once, and you can afford it, I guess I understand overpaying. There might not be another lot of that caliber for a year.

On a related note, I really really really wish ebay had not gone to the anonymous bidder method. I am not saying there was schill bidding in this case, but it is always in the back of your mind when you cannot see who is actually bidding.

Also the buyer had 49 prior purchases. Another high bidder only had 10.

As a master set collector I feel both of those numbers should be way higher at least 100

Does anyone mind sharing your bid?

Looking at the bidders it seems 100% shill to me.

We're all fine with it.
We came in second. With a bid of 2600 Canadian. Roughly 2000 U.S.
While we agreed on 1500 dillars I jumped the gun and bid at thirty seconds left by accident. My finger hovering above the bid button and hit it.
As soon as I did it I had to make the decision to go higher and I did.
But somebody else wanted it more and still went beyond our reach at the last second.

We didn't win but our cooperation was still great as we all worked out which figs we needed/wanted and came to a happy agreement

Hmmm...may not be a classic "shill." That's classic MRT.

But what are the chances two, unknown, Master Set collectors were bidding? You only spend that much if you care and you know what you are bidding on.

With so little feedback, I would put my betting money on person/people using extra accounts to be dicks. No intention of paying. eBay doesn't do anything about it - so even if they are caught there are no repercussions.

This lot had the same deep pocketed winning bidder as that lot a few weeks ago with the purple 107.

Thank you

If what Larry said is true then I fall back on my assertion. Not a shill bidder, just a collector with money.

I think there were 21 Class A and over 30 Class B, some of which are hard to find. And the one good claw is a few bucks too.

Many class Bs are as hard to find as some As, I can see $2000 for 50 very hard to find Figs.
