So it's been a long planned project I'm finally getting around too.

I got 240 rectangles special cut of this fluorescent plexiglass I'm going to be seating onto a plexiglass backboard with LED back lighting so the edges of all the little platforms glow and look all cool which I'll also build a case around to hang them on a wall and display my full collection in grand nerdtastic glory.

My question, is if there is a collector-friendly adhesive of some sort so I can seat each figure on its platform at least somewhat securely that won't damage it by any definition so that I don't have to re-display every single figure each time it gets accidentally bumped or something?

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

If you search for "museum putty" you'll find a crystal clear adhesive that most people use for their valuable toys. It's not cheap but it works really well and i have never heard of it causing any type of damage to any toys or other pieces of art. The Container Store carries it and the always have good prices and they ship as well. There is a blue cheaper alternative but i wouldn't risk using something blue.

I have a wooden case built in the shape of the poster with a glass door.  I don't have anything holding the feet down to prevent the figures from falling.  A few will when I open the door, but not many.  My issue was getting some of them to stand up correctly, so I had to put a small piece of paper behind a few to prevent them from leaning backwards.

Ah right on, that Museum Putty looks like a pretty good solution, I think I may go with that so thanks for the tip! I'll be sure and post pics once I get it all put together. I tried to figure out a way to get a poster printed up large enough that I could position each figure in front of its designated spot on it but have had a hell of a time finding someone to do custom printing like that. I have a repro I bought off a fella on here but the squares just aren't big enough. Any suggestions on that would be cool too. Cheers guys

i am working on a display project. which has halted.  i'll explain.  i found an old "wooden" wall display for figurines in my Dad's basement two weeks ago.  it was filthy and a stained wood color.  instead of donating it to the Staten Island Landfill, I decided to take it back with me to Long Island.  I cleaned it up and sanded it ready for paint.  unfortunately as I was removing the wooden grid, I made the monumental mistake of neither labeling, nor even taking a darn photo of how it was originally.  So after i painted it, i could not figure out how all the interior small shelf pieces fit back together.  So I gave it to my "crafty" sister, as in arts-and-crafts, to see if she can correct my blunder.

Now, when/if that gets resolved, I am at a crossroads: should I paint all the M.U.S.C.L.E. Things star bursts in different colors like the poster? Or, should I decoupage the background with assorted pictures like the comic story on the back of the 28-packs?

Also, here is a quick display option - empty data cassette cases:
