So I was at Wal Mart tonight and stumbled across a Gormiti type toyline in the Preschool Section!

It's called Number Busters and it's basically Gormiti but marketed for younger kids.

Posted Image

It's the exact same format as Gormiti:

PVC figure w/ random number printed on the foot and a corresponding game card with a number.

The Game is presented as an educational game to teach pre-schoolers math. You can play simple higher number wins with figures only, play figure + card value (exactly like gormiti), or play based on who can add the numbers faster.

So far there's a 10 pack starter ($20), 4 pack bootsers ($10) and a electronic carry case w/ 2 figures ($20). The 2 Wal Marts I checked had only 2 different 4 packs, each including 1 or each faction.

Speaking of Factions it's similar to Gormiti as there's a Land (brown/green), Fire (red/yellow), Space (black/grey) and Water (blue/turquoise). The main difference is that some of the sculpts are re-colored in different factions (cursory examination of the collector poster reveals that most sculpts are available in 1 or 2 factions.)

Overall the sculps are a bit cartoonier that Gormiti, barring one robot sculpt (Pyrobo/Plasma Bot) which I think is stylistically very Gormiti like. Most have painted pupils and a blocky style and clean paint ops.

I picked up a starter and a booster.

They're fun figures, and I thinke they're a very interesting educational spin on the Gormiti craze (which isn't even an actual craze in the US yet!!!)...

Agreed, they are pretty sweet and the somewhat-blocky sculpts are very appealing. The sea creature figure is indeed awesome!

I picked up the starter set today for my 3 year old daughter. I didn't even notice them. She's a big dinosaur fan and loves the dinos over the robot guys. I think it will be a fun line for her and me to collect together.

Hey Guys!

Well, according to the poster that came in the starter set, it looks like there are 62 figures total.

Size Comparison: http://lh4.ggpht.com...iti_nb_comp.jpg

So basically they are a perfect size match for Gormiti.

Yeah, I dig this line!

These are actually...cute.
I can imagine preschoolers taking a liking to these.
The red figure looks like a perfect conversion base into a Dreadnought / Titan (Warhammer 40K).

Just picked up the 10 pack and the 2 four packs they had at Walmart and these guys are GREAT! Now to only find where to pick up the rest of them if they can be found. Anyone have any more info on these? Are they coming out in 2 series or something which is why the rest can't be found yet?

Anyone see them anywhere besides Walmart? I've checked Toys R Us and Target with no luck.

Yeah we found the same thing at one of the Walmarts in our area plus 2 of the "arena" sets. I really want the dragon figure that comes with it but I just can't justify the price for 1 cool figure.

All the Walmarts that we have been to were in the middle of a major reset of their toy aisles so hopefully more will pop up soon.

I will post pictures when I remember to get on LRG when I am not at work ;)

Edit - pics as promised

First my collection of a 10 pack and 2 four packs (are these the same ones that everyone else is finding?)
Posted Image

A comparison shot with a Gormiti
Posted Image

The 10 Pack came with a poster. It was kind of bent so I couldn't get a good picture and it was too big for the scanner so I just scanned the tribes
Posted Image
Posted Image

And lastly a terrible scan of the back of the 10 pack to show some of the variant colors.
Posted Image

I think I like this line better than Gormiti :D

Yup, we've got the same 20 figures out my way Liz. I also could not justify buying the arena but I figure eventually they should be getting the same markdown as the Dino magic Volcanos it just may take a while ;)

Indeed. I've yet to see anything but the first 10 pack, first 2 4 packs and the arena.

And the Arena is overpriced! When you can get either 10 figures or 2 plus a box for $20 I know where my $20 is going!

Hopefully these start hitting other chains and in more assortments soon!
