I just built my first Gundam 1/144 model and it was AWESOME! I want to get more of these but the nearest store is about 40 mins away and im sure I could get a better price than the little store here. Anyone know if there is somewhere online these go for decent prices that is a reputable seller?

If anyone is curious I built the Crossbone Gundam X1

Amazon is a great place to go. I intend on buying all future models there. I've found the best prices, and they're straight from Japan so you cut out the middle man of a secondary seller in your country.

Good idea, i just checked there and seems most are in the $17 range, i think i paid $23 for this one so i suppose not too bad of a deal after all.

Do you know what other scales there are? Mostly everything I find is in Japanese so i cant really read it... I have 2 of the Mini's and one of the 1/144 scale, how many other scales are they and do they get REALLY big?

If thenerdieststore is still hanging around, he knows quite a bit. I'm sure there are others too, BaltanII knows a metric eff ton about Japanese stuff.

I know there are different "grades", which basically indicate level of detail/difficulty.

Draznar has given some pretty good tips already. Amazon & Hobbylink Japan seem to be the best places to buy them online.

4chan has a very active Gunpla community on the /toy/ section, and there are some good tips there. Just remember that 4chan is a much more toxic community than LRG.

I know for a fact there are 1/100 scale, and I think there are some 1/50 scale too. I'm no expert though. Maybe I'll post pics of my awful sharpie-covered childhood gundams soon.
