The first four figs are army man style bucket figs. The first one came in a bag of other square bots, and the other 3 I remember coming in a bucket of space oriented figs.

I remember the purple guys, but I can't recall exactly what they are. Cereal premiums possibly?

The bottom figs look like Arco OtherWorld miniatures, though I don't know for sure.

I'm unsure about the rest. Sorry if any of this is vague.

Tough hu. I have had the bigger 5'' plastic figures before but can't remeber thier names. The smaller cave people are somewere along the line of mpc---they have circles in the center of thier stands------Arco are more bendable-----purple guys look like the can hold a pencil----cereal premiums might be right on the dot.

I have looked and researched a lot of places to find out what these are with no luck---that is why I posted them here---if anybody has an idea shoot. Wanted to thank Universal Ruler Supreme for the ideas.

THanks

The three plastic space figs are 5" inches? :) Really? Never saw them that big, I must have misjudged the size of everything in your pic then. I had smaller bucket figs ot them, and even up to a few years ago I remember the same sculpts being sold in the Novelty sections of some retail stores. never saw them that big before, I think they have been reused over and over again since possibly the 70's like most novelty plastic toys like dinosaurs and army men. I guess it makes sense, cause they have done that with dinos and army men as well. Usually about 5 or so 5" figs would come in a pack. I'll look around to see if I can come up with a name, I think I have an idea if your looking for specifics. I wish I could help more on the smaller ones. Maybe Marty or someone else knows.

Those little purple guys look like they were made to be hung on the side of a drinking glass or cereal bowl. I used to have some figures not unlike those that I got as cereal premiums that were meant for just that purpose: to hang on the side of the cereal bowl.

Okay Lazor, The 5" space figs, including the square bot, were produced by either Tim-Mee or Processed Plastic Co in the 70's and 80's. The only name I found that was actually printed on packaging was "Galaxy Laser Team", but I'm quite positive they were released under numerous other titles over the years, and I'm pretty sure that any recent copies of these guys probably weren't made by either of those companies. I think Tim=Mee was bought out by PPCO or visa versa, can't remember. I swear I still see these guys in dollar stores from time to time, but the ones you got look original.

Still couldn't find anything on the other warrior dudes, but if I get the chance I'll look around some more. I don't think they are MPC though. Possible, but still unsure.

I have those space figures. There are a few others too. Most are obvious Star Wars rip-off's--Chewbaca, Darth, etc.

Space Figures on eBay

Posted Image

I had a ton of these as a kid. As you can see, the white figure sculpt in LL's picture is not seen in this eBay lot. Uh, yes it is... but the turtle guy isn't. However, he was definitely part of this set.

I don't recall having the man-with-the-sword sculpt, but perhaps I did, and I definitely did have all the rest featured in this ebay auction. Unfortunately, the auction doesn't provide any info. Seller says they are "original" and from 1960, but who knows...

:)

I saw a sealed bag of the regular size figs on ebay when I looked them up. I found a fansite that had the 5 inchers for about 5 bucks each. And then I came across a couple mixed lots on ebay with some of the 5vers in them. Their not rare, just uncommon. Still havn't had the chance to look for the others though. Sorry I didn't post the links, but I can't remember them. Just do a search for Tim-Mee or Galaxy laser team and you'll probably find them.
