Hey, sorry if my last post sounded like I was speaking out of turn. I guess I might have been playing devil's advocate a bit but broadly my intent was to agree to gist of the preceding posts.

At the end of the day its up to the person how much they want to back on this project. We cant make people back it and spend lots of $ if they dont really want it. Yea we would all like to see this do well. But at the end of the day if its up to each person. I agree they dont look anything like The little flesh guys. There more like there own thing.

Things have been hella tight for me lately, I still plan to pledge but it wont be a whole lot. Question regarding the $1100 pledge, the pick your own color scheme, would you be getting 125 sets of the same figs with the colors you choose? Or can you say I want ten green and black ones, ten orange and pink ones, 5 yellow and white ones etc...? The coose a figure for series two would be tight too, Id love to be able to do that. Capybara here we go!!!

125 of the same figures. I asked Jon.

The plastic color will be the same as the main release. The armor will be custom painted.

The base color can't be changed, as there is a minimum quantity that can be run. However, paint apps can be run at a minimum level of 125 per figure. So it would be 125 of each figure in their base plastic colors:
Lion - white
Gorilla - black
Thorny Lizard - red
Komodo - dark green
plus whatever paint style you choose for them.
Each figure can have a different paint style, but the minimum paint run is 125.

As far as the numbers go,

If someone did the $1100 level, you get the 125 sets. If you were to sell them for the same cost that the Kickstarter has the painted sets for, $25 for the set of 4, then you would only need to sell about 50 sets to break even. This is factoring in paypal fees and shipping costs from me to you for the lot. There are currently 74 backers, so I think selling 50 would be a given. If you sell all 125 sets you make almost $1900 in profit.

In regards to the LRG OMFG sets, I burned through my greens at a pretty constant pace. Granted, I spent a bit extra on the special packaging, posters, etc, but I still made a good profit on the lot.

Regardless though, handling all those transactions in the first few weeks is CRAZY! I had my wife and son both helping me pack and ship, . Had my own little sweat shop going. Towards the end it was 2-4 orders a day, so it was easily manageable. I also popped a few on eBay, bundled with the poster at a higher rate (to cover fees) and didn't expect to sell any, but sold like 20 or 30 that way.

I didn't collect Glyos figs, but I chased down a set of OMFG from Onell Design.

Glyos and OMFG are about as far apart as BB and M.U.S.C.L.E.

Down to $345 to go per day over the next 11 days.

The original amount needed to reach $11,000 over 30 days was $366 per day. NOW that amount has actually been surpassed, and only $345 is needed per day!

Looking good, guys!

I guess, just feel dumb. I know I kept reading the first part of the topic title, and I guess my brain just kept ignoring it. Maybe I was confusing it with those armorvors.

But I really like the Horned Toad, and the Komodo is just sick! I want to see more of the Squatters. That stockier appearance and more traditional battle armor just really appeals to me.

I would like to contribute, but I'll have to see what I can do.

A sincere thanks to those that made such a HUGE impact towards making all 4 Series 1 figures a reality!! Every bit helps but the $1100 + pledge amounts really make a huge dent :D

Thank you !

I was curious about the custom paint scheme. So the figs will be molded in the standard colors agreed upon, but the pledger gets to pick his own paint apps basically right? Is there a limit to the amount of space or areas of each figure that can be painted? Meaning, for example could you request the entire surface of the Lion figure to be painted, or are you limited to say the armor and the hair?

Not that I'll be pledging that much or nothing, but maybe someone would want to know.
Hope that makes sense.

That is definitely something that can be done, but I don't know what the factory would charge per figure for the extra paint app on the full figure. If one of the backers is interested in that, we can definitely get the extra cost from the factory. I can't imagine it is a whole lot extra.

Is the packaging design still in the concept phase, or the posted samples pretty much where you guys are trying to stay? I thought a window box style would be cool.

Will Exclusive backers figs be packaged the same as the normal releases? Or will they just get their figs loose and have to make their own packaging?

Also my previous paint app question was sort of derived from the painted computer models shown on the KS page, which appear to have more detailed body paint. Like the Ape has lighter skin tones around the palms and neck. Should we expect the final product to match these models, or are these just a basic mock up?

And finally can we expect to see some clearer images of the designs soon? Possibly before the pledge period runs out? Maybe concept drawings that show closer details surrounding the figs.

Sorry for all the questions....Don't answer em if you don't want to.
Just trying to get an idea of exactly how far along the project is with the exception of just trying to get it fully funded.
