AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
HOLY CRAP THIS IS PERFECT.
I literally, quite literally just gave this thing away to Draznar not more than a couple weeks ago. I obtained it in turn from former LRG member Universal Ruler Supreme. He had no idea what it was, sent it to me as a fun freebie and with hopes that I'd ID the thing myself. I had some inkling as to what kind of toy it was but I never actually had success. When he sent it with me, it also included an orange and green thing closely resembling an AT-ST. My octopus base was missing one of the four side weapons or the big gun in the center, I forget, and had no pilot.
I gave it to Draznar because of the strong resemblance it had to some transforming animal playsets he had in another thread. Maybe his collection thread, I can't find anything else right this second. The other bases looked slightly different but the weapons seemed like a perfect match, as did the style of metallic coloring on the octopus.

Yea, got him loose for 9$. Guy i got it from had no clue either
Those weapons totally look like he fits into that toyline. Those holes in the front had me worried weapons may be missing, but the beetle has them too.
So these some kind of 90's micromachine wannabe bootleg set from the dollar store?

No idea what the holes are for, if anything, but you can rest-assured that you aren't missing anything in that regard.
I'm going to assume so, yes. Back when compacts were all over the place. I picked up mine from a flea market. I didn't bother asking the guy when he got them or anything like that, unfortunately.

This I have seen before; it came in a generic KO space set from the 90's with some other broke ass bootleg star wars/sci fi looking figures and ships. It is actually a little collectible! If I can find a pic of the carded set I will share it.
When he sent it with me, it also included an orange and green thing closely resembling an AT-ST.
Assuming of course, we are talking about the same thing...who knows without a pic.

Here is the one Baltan gave me, (THANKS A MIL, BRO.) with the "AT-ST" on the left. The one I already owned with the pilot on the right for comparison.
