I just found Minions Series 5 at TRU.  Weird because I had never seen a Series 4, and Series 3 seems to still be well-stocked at plenty of places including the same TRU that had the Series 5.  Looking at eBay, it seems that Series 4 is only in Canada at the moment.

Anyway these are the Series 5 pack codes.  The "rare" and the "secret rare" tend to be pretty hard to find because of the intentional scarcity (each comes 1/24 packs).  The codes are easy to read -- they are printed in ink instead of the way most Mega Bloks pack codes are not inked, but rather debossed into the packaging.

I do not know their names.

A13115ES -- has a green popsicle

A16115ES -- eyes closed, with a menu

A18115ES -- sunburn, with bucket

A19105ES -- blue beanie, with POP soda

A19115ES -- striped clothes, brown hat, banana

A20115ES -- with popcorn

A21115ES -- sign "4 days with no minions exploding"

A23115ES -- with bubbles

A24115ES -- with pink backdrop

A25115ES -- with toilet paper

A26115ES -- dressed as female, orange hat (rare)

A27115ES -- magician, with chainsaw (secret rare)

This is just a point of reference.  Images of series 1, 2, 3, and 4.

Series 1 is a set of 6 (and does not have a secret rare).

Series 2 is a set of 12 (and it looks like it does not have a secret rare either).

Series 3, 4, and 5 are a set of 12 each (11 shown in the photos, plus 1 secret rare not pictured).

Series 1 and Series 3 had a widespread release at all major retailers.  At the time of this writing, Series 3 is still in many stores, even after the Christmas season.

Series 2 remains extremely rare.  After asking some eBay sellers, it seems they were only found at Wal-Mart stores around Sept or Oct 2015.  I made my way to a Wal-Mart at that time and found nothing.  They never came to TRU or Target.  I kept hoping they would come to a discount retailer, but nothing yet. In October, sets were selling around $180.  The last set that sold (Jan 23) was for $90.

This is clearly the coolest set! Two crazy purple guys and a glow in the dark Minion too!  I'd love to finally find these, but not at $90+.  Please let me know if you ever see them.  There is still a chance that they could show up at a discount store.

Series 4 is currently only being sold on eBay from Canadian sellers.  Price is reasonable at $60 US per set, shipped.  I am going to hold out and hope that they still show up at a US discount store like Five Below, Big Lots, Family Dollar, or Tuesday Morning.

Please let me know if you ever find Series 4 of Series 2 at retail.  Thanks.

This is just more reference.  These are the new 2016 sets, out now.

I love that they are concentrating on smaller/cheaper sets.  Their large sets from last year are still warming the shelves, even after Christmas.

Even greater focus on figures/characters and less on the convoluted brick-builds.

Also love that there are finally more purple minions!

The playset that is also a carry case AND a display case is one of the best toy ideas yet!

Here are the Series 4 codes!  Currently relevant to folks in Canada who can find them at Dollarama.  Though, I expect them to show up in the US now -- especially since I bought a set from a Canadian seller.  Tehe LOL!

A01095ES -- backpack

A02095ES -- flag

A07095ES -- dollhouse

A08095ES -- cheerleader

A09095ES -- boo ya!

A10095ES -- rocket launcher (rare)

A11095ES -- banana Kevin (secret rare)

A26085ES -- caveman

A27085ES -- flower power

A28085ES -- robot

A29085ES -- pyramid builder

A31085ES -- lunchbox

The rare and the secret rare will appear once per case.  Two others will appear three times per case to compensate for the manufactured scarcity, and the rest will appear twice per case.

Hi there,  you seem to be well informed about these minion mega bloks.  I wanted to ask if you have any info on the new series 6 minions and sets?  I have a feeling that they are going to be released this month seeing as how series 5 was released on Jan. 1st 2016,  I think they will release a new wave every three months.  I think this may be the case because that kind of goes along with the 4 series release dates from last year.  I have been collecting these so I am trying to figure out when series 6 will be available.  I would appreciate any info you can give me if you know anything.  Best-MM
