I have the Beetle playset but recently starting looking for other brands to go with my figures. These are 2 of the 3 I found and will eventually get them repainted.  What do you guys use besides the 3 official sets?

What are those 2 playsets from?

I have all the regular Battle Beast playsets (Wood Beetle, Blazing Eagle, Shocking Shark) and the 3 Chariots (Ram, Deer, and Tiger) :)

The ship is made by a company called redbox.

The Jungle set is Fisher Price Imaginex

I would like to get the other two official sets but I can't see myself paying the going rate right now.

Cheers

The Gorilla mountain set looks really cool with the Beasts.  I have thought about getting one for mine.  If you want to paint it you might try doing a black wash with watered down black paint, which will settle into the cracks for a cool effect.

Thank you for the suggestion. I will let my paint specialist know once he begins work on them. I plan on adding new logos to the Pirate ship as well.

Nice playsets, especially the gorilla mountain! I have some Transformers G1 bases that I think works good with Battle Beasts.

I have an extra Flaming Phoenix set that's a little busted on the hinges and missing guns but still displays great, especially in base form. I'd be happy to send it to you for free if you cover the shipping (whether it's worth the shipping from US>CA is up to you).

Just drop me a PM if you're interested.

Cheers

Thanks! But this is only half of my beastformers world. For now i have many interesting parts & terrain to create a home little planet but i dont have free space in my home ( i try to fix this problem) Also few years ago I tried to create snow base with robo force fortress of steele, but i was not glad with it and sell this winter parts to another collector.

One of the members on the board, Bachamn, was scanning a whole bunch of material for his website. I'd private message him and see what he has.

I believe that Battle Beasts were actually created as a mini figure set to use with the big Transformers Bases released from 1886-1988. This includes Fortress Maximus, Scoponok, and Trypticon which are my favorites. The Headmaster figures are robots the size of Battle Beasts that transform into heads for when the base is transformed for the robot mode. The plastics and colors are the same The Wood Beetle and Scorpion (scorponok) look so good next to each other with the Battle Beasts. You can even transform both into a big Wood Faction Duel Playset.

To further your claim, didn't the Battle Beasts show up in the Headmasters cartoon? (Or am I mistaken?)

Yes, they did.
I believe you can watch it on Youtube.

As it happens, the top of my Wood Beetle J box has a rather large white spot from a tape-tear (that was conveniently hidden in the YAJ auction pics)  -_-
