Enjoyed first ep, especially the ending, and have ep 2 ready to watch. We have to pay extra for the AMC channel over here, so I'm attempting to stream it for free instead. Hoping ep 2 delivers when we watch it tonight.

I like it so far and will stick with it, I just wish I liked some of the actors/characters more from the start. The junkie son is the best on the show so far and I'm kinda meh about everyone else.

I still think it will be interesting to see how the show depicts the breakdown of society from the start of the outbreak whether the characters grow on me or not.

To me the stand out is the Mom, but then they haven't given her that much to do.  I was actually prepared to loath the junkie son, but he is growing on me.  I think prize for most loathed character will go to either the estranged son or the daughter.

I suffer from the same problem though... I don't find anyone terribly likable and thats a problem with a new show.  Especially a character driven show.  None the less, I'm still watching and I'm curious what they will do next.  There are definitely elements I like.I tend to keep my expectations low - and that keeps me level headed lol...

Ha!  I feel exactly the same way.  Slow going but usually tends to happen when they have to build up the story / characters.  I am not expecting a heck of a lot, but so far it is decent.

Me and the wife are watching it. It isn't bad.

It's nice to see the "before it went to shit" stuff!

Agree on those two characters so far.

I watched a recent series called "The Slap" that was full of unlikable characters. It was almost like they said, "Here is a collection of horrible people. We dare you to root for someone." I even hated the kid that got slapped.

lmao, i remember the commericals for that and thought it was a joke...i mean how many episodes can be based on a kid getting slapped? is it still on?

I do like how they are basing alot of their beginning of the end of the world theory on that old show "Life after People" I always loved that show

Pretty much this.  Also the mother seems tough, but I think the teenagers may get old quickly.

Burty, google Couchtuner. You can watch it there. I'd recommend using an iPad instead of a PC though due to all the ads/popups.

As far as the show goes, I am definitely watching, but it feels really slow.
I get they have to do this in order to build up the characters and set things up, but it really is a very slow paced series so far.

Either way, I am in for the long haul. :D

This has really helped JK as the wife and I only use iPads and the previous site we were directed to is better on a PC/laptop. We will defiantly try it out

EDIT: Is it couchtuner.la? Says we need to sign up - is that the only way?

Eh the junkie kid is a good actor. I'm hoping his sister gets some decent scenes since she was great as a brutal vicious post-apocalyptic tribal leader in some other show i used to watch. In this show she seems to be written as a typical tv teenage girl which sucks. The mom needs to die, she's the new Andrea as far as i'm concerned. The dad is boring so far but he played a henchmen in every late 90's action/horror movie ever made so if they use him right it could be fun.

As it stands i would never watch this show unless it was recorded because it would not be worth sitting through the 47 minutes of AMC commercials.

I enjoyed ep 2 - nice to see some zombie killing! I liked how the riot scene built up too. Really like the junkie kid, plus the chubby geek kid is weird but likeable ha! As for the mom - she's pretty much a MILF ha!

I think you might be right on what the Mom deserves... BUT I think they are going to turn her into the new Rick. And I think her husband will eventually die... Although not this season. The teenage girl, was she on the 100? Is that the show you are thinking of?

Just finished the second episode at work. I am enjoying it so far. Nice to see urban setting and tons of extras in contrast to the wandering through the woods of normal Walking Dead.
