Painted Meat

.avi get the sound cut out of them over half the time...
Also, does anyone remember the big hoopla about the X-E MUSCLE battling belt/wrestling ring commercial? Why? It had a Kinnikuman figure in the ring loosing, and it had Broken in the background as well.
Mabe this is like an advanced form of that.
And you are here, with them, as so many specks of sand.

Well, there definately is no third option (sorry if that sounded snippy... the prospect of this Meat painted figure had me pretty worked up, now it's draggin' me down) What this also means is that there is slim to nill chance of a rereleased Doc Nakano fig in the US.I really think we are over thinking this. I think there are only 2 possibilities.
1. It is real.
2. It is fake.
If it is real, then perhaps Bandai was just filling the screen with different figures, painted figures, old figures, etc.
If it is fake, then whoever just filled the screen with different figures, painted figures, old figures, etc.
Of course, if they did use the old scuplts (I pray they have Kinnikuman in fishnet stockings figures) that would be excellent!

Actually, looking at the pictures again, I think that these are the only 2 possibilities:I really think we are over thinking this. I think there are only 2 possibilities.
1. It is real.
2. It is fake.
1) It's fake.
2) It's possibly the worst commercial in toy history.
Let's consider these points...
1) None of the new figures shown at Toy Fair are shown. None of the "new" figures in the commercial were shown at Toy Fair.
2) All of the "new" figures in the commercial look EXACTLY THE SAME as existing Kinkeshi. The painted ones were already offered in the Kinkeshi rerelease, and the non-painted ones were the same colors as the original Kinkeshi.
3) Boring settings. It looks like it was made in someone's living room.
4) The top picture in this group shot has way too many distractions, i.e., too many objects that are completely unrelated to the toys. A commercial director's job is to put the emphasis on the product... there's just too much happening here.
Anyway, I don't want to sound like I'm ripping on Chet Zesty, but this commercial looks fake to me. I guess we'll just have to wait and see...

Its an ok commercial. One of the lines in the narration is "over 100 to collect including rare silver colored". I find it odd that they would advertise that there are more than 60 available, yet there are no pics of any of the figures from the later series seen at the toyfair. The theme of the commercial seems to be that there are a lot of them, and they're everywhere, hence shots of muscles in the fridge, muscles in a fishbowl, muscles all over a table, and muscles all over a kid's sister's dresser.
Anyway, like I said, I sent the tape to Warsman, so you should be able to judge it for yourself soon.

Sorry if it sounded like I was ripping on you, Chet... I wasn't saying you were lying or anything, it just seemed like the commercial you recorded from the TV was fake. Now that you explained the theme, I can kind of imagine the commercial, and it seems a bit more realistic. But I'm still confused as to why they would include old MUSCLEs in the commercial. Including them as "filler" isn't very practical. Why would they so prominently advertise figures that won't be available? Then again, Bandai is so friggin' stupid that they couldn't figure out how to color-match joints (no, I still haven't gotten over that ), so maybe they'd also be stupid enough to take advertising time away from their real toys. The theme of the commercial seems to be that there are a lot of them, and they're everywhere, hence shots of muscles in the fridge, muscles in a fishbowl, muscles all over a table, and muscles all over a kid's sister's dresser.
But if these figures are going to be available, where were they at Toy Fair? It's a vicious cycle! Oh well...

It looks like the company (if this IS a real commercial) it looks like they want to create that, Millions Of Unusual Small Creatures Lurking Everywhere(I hope I got it right, I keep forgetting) type of feeling of the original line, only they don't make the characters Americanized, weirdly drawn, and force you to make up your own names (why I wish they'd've shown the G1 cartoon stateside). I'll get on a rant about that another day.One of the lines in the narration is "over 100 to collect including rare silver colored".
But what do they have to gain for going to all the trouble of tracking down 13 year old kinishi figures, and paint them, and make a huge commercial for nothing? Mayhaps mencing Dr. Nefarious or the Evil Sneak of Arkansaw are planning a totally evil scheme (I have serious work to do on Supervillain names, even if they're wacky...)

look at the secong picture chet posted...
i see a different colored kid muscle doing the kinnikubuster, (behind the red/blue one up front, to the left...)
i don't think one of us could have done that...
well, the one of us that could, stated already that he wouldn't be hot on producing OBTAINABLE figures...
i think it is legit...
but i could be wrong.

Do we really love every commercial?
Does every commercial sell a product in the perfect way?
Let's keep in mind one thing: We love MUSCLE's. If it isn't done well, then we will be upset. But some people working at XYT Advertising don't care. If they just pump out some crap, then should we be surprised?
And if it is fake, then let’s kill Mr. Zesty.

They probably COULD make resculpts of the old ones, or something like that.
I mean, if the little taiwanese compannies can get their hands on molds to make counterfiets, what's to say Bandai can't just buy the old molds and ued them?
Of course, I may be wrong, feel free to rip this idea to shreads.

i like the new ones... but i would not be disappointed at all to see some old faces... or possible some sculpts of main characters that were not released in the states.
one thing i'm pulling for, is for the release of the samurai kinnikuman series in the states!
those things were hilarious!
and they had one for damn near every dynasty/district/whatever!!!

i don't think one of us could have done that...
just to say to this there is a site that will change the color of the muscle you got and the paint change wont rub off.
as for the comercial my brother has it on tape but no tv card there soo...
ill try to get my hands on it, but i cant guarantee. I might just miss the comercial because i dont watch the other shows and just so happend to see it. If i cant get it i will get it from my brother but that could be AFTER the next line is out or once everyone has seen it already. I cant promise anything.

I have to add my 2 cents...........
I agree with everyone and I disagree with everyone. I bet the commercial is legit. Bandai really does suck (joints not painted, packaging, colors, etc...) This looks like a typical 80's toy commercial and to be honest it is in character with the original G1 pitch (at least the fridge thang). Anyway, painting up muscles is easy for an artist/customiser, and yes there are dyes that you can permenately change the color of the plastic, however, as far as doing molds and creating G2 customs in different color plastic...........I don't think anyone is that crazy???????????? Ok, well I am, however, I won't do that with an active toy license. I don't want trouble. That is why I really only want to make a handful of the old ones for diehard collectors, especially the rarest ones or coolest ones.

It's not unseemly for companies to use the prototypes in commercials and packages.
As far as I know, the 40 pack may not even be the true 40 pack, and could just be a mock up.
Of course, I may be wrong.
