Its fun to see how deluded and out of their minds they can be. I just laugh to myself as they endlessly relist their self proclaimed treasures..

Me:
You will find out it's not rare when you can't sell it anywhere near that cost. Not by just making things up and guessing. If you really think it's worth close to that much I have 3 I'll sell you (mint in green) for $100 per. Deal?
Him:
I was actually hoping other claw owners especially green claws. I was hoping they would list some.
I don't really want it to sell now it brings in 50 to 100 people a day. Sold 6 other things the day I listed it.
It was my personal experiment in synthetic inflation. Its like 10 years of slowly rising prices in 2 days.
Good to see that they could get that much.
You should be very happy to see claws get more than $40. I think thats why so many get thrown away
They had (no value) Like collecting popsicle sticks or rubber bands. Maybe muscles could be worth more than those things.
If only some people asked countable amounts money for them. I guess I could have traded it for a coffee
I decided not to go that route.

I just saw this thread, love you guys were all on this too. I messaged him when it went up in August. His description and fantasy land salesman tactics forced me to press the issue on his RARE figure. Then, he went on some incoherent rant about countable amounts of money, popsicle sticks, rubber bands and trading for a coffee...... Btw, countable amounts of money may be my new favorite term.

I don't understand... so is he using it as a lost leader and folks check out his other auction?
(thus selling other items?)
I mean hell - it's not a terrible idea (if Im understanding his logic correctly), if he wasn't so obnoxious in his pricing.

A loss leader is something priced below market value to lead to the sale of other items.
Anyway, you can check his sales history. It is an outright lie. He sold a few Star Wars figures in the 3-4 days around the time this MUSCLE figure was listed. But how many times do you look up MUSCLE and end up buying Star Wars? Spurious correlation at best.
Hence the appearance of one Dwight K. Shrute.

I hate to be a Debby Downer on a fun thread. But am I the only one who feels a little bad for this guy?
My guess is that he is some new collector, who got caught up in the recent crazy eBay Muscle listings, and thought he grabbed an amazing deal.
Instead he just cut his investment in half.
Then I feel less sympathetic, when I think how stupid he was for opening that can.

Then I'll attempt paying with popsicle sticks and rubber bands. If that doesn't work I will give them countable amounts of money.
