Welcome to this month's LRG Council Contest.

You're here because you like free stuff, right? Well, here's an easy way to get some.

THE MS PAINT CHALLENGE!

It's real easy. All I want you to do is to draw a picture of a toy or toys of your choice.

The only catch is you have to use MS Paint - or any similar basic paint programme - to draw it.

No scanning or cutting and pasting from other sources. Just start with a blank document and off you go! Where you go from there is entirely up to you and your imagination.

Everyone is entitled to enter up to THREE separate pictures.

You needn't worry about votes or anything like that, because I will be choosing all the winners.

What judging criteria will I be using? Well, it might be pure artistic talent, it might be something that makes me laugh; even a drawing that is hilariously crap could win a prize.

Just keep it (fairly) clean and you'll be okay.

Closing date for entries is 31st March. That's a full THREE WEEKS for you to get something done. Winners will be chosen after that date.

I reserve the right to consider entries which come in after the deadline; however, if you miss the deadline, you only have yourself to blame ;)

THE PRIZES

Prizes can be found in Post 17 (CLICKY). The main prize winner can pick three different bundles. Any runners up will then be awarded.

If you need anything clarifying, please feel free to ask. Otherwise, just get cracking :)

Even a drawing that is hilariously crap could win a prize.

So there's hope for those with no artistic talent (i.e. me)! I'll have to work on something this coming weekend.

I'll get started on something soon...

Since for me this contest is entirely about getting out of my comfort zone, I didn't want to over-think my first submission.

I just sold this puppet on Ebay and thought this would be a nice send-away for him.

Oh man, those Land Before Time Puppets. I had the whole set. That was the first movie I was taken to see in the theater. I just remember getting really upset about the mother dino dying.

Nice job with Paint-ifying Petrie. ;)

haha same here; first movie I saw in a theater, I had a whole set of the puppets (just sold it about a month ago), and the mother dino dying prompted my parents to give me the "what is death" lecture.

I forgot whose illustrations I was looking through but someone on here was commissioning some absolutely amazing toy room sketches. I remember thinking that if I had some extra cashola I was going to see if they would do one for me. Does anyone know who this might be? Apologies to whomever you are. I get caught up for some extended periods of time browsing through peoples collections and often forget.

I just noticed that you mentioned winners (plural) in the OP. Are there potentially multiple winners for this contest? If so, are they based on the variety of criteria you mentioned?

I'm still going to finish my third submission either way, and probably spend waaaay too much time on it because I'm pretty excited about the figure I picked for this one; just curious :)

Yes, there will DEFINITELY be multiple prize winners. I'm extremely encouraged by the entries so far! :)

As it stands there will be ONE main prize winner, who will get to choose THREE of the prize bundles.

There will then be an as yet undetermined number of subsidiary prizes.

===

Okay, these are the prize bundles to choose from so far. I will hopefully add more options depending on what I manage to find. Everything here in excellent condition, much of it new!

NB Prizes with an asterisk have multiple availability, so more than one person will be able to choose that prize.

A: 8 x Gormiti Morphogenesis figures (*)
B: Set of Mini Gormiti (colour and silver/gold) (*)
C: Bunch of Walking With Dinosaurs movie figures
D: Bunch of Mr Men figures

E: Trash Pack brown facecloth with some Series 5/6 Trash Pack
F: Trash Pack blue facecloth with some Series 6 Trash Pack
G: Bunch of Marvel Heroes Ultimate collection figures
H: Assortment of Mini Boglins cereal premiums
I: 5 x assorted Predasaurs DNA Fusion figures (NB will ship loose) (*)
J: 10 x Hobbit minifigures (*)
K: 11 x Fistful of Aliens figures
L: 6 x Transformers Minicons from UK blind bags

M: 5 x My Little Pony minis from UK blind bags, plus some Moshi monsters (not pictured) (*)
N: Large bundle of random Gamoja figures (may differ slightly from picture) (*)
O: 10 x packets of Micro Predasaurs

My daughter wants to make an entry, but I'm afraid that her medium of choice is crayons and paper. Will you accept a single submission that is scanned?

If not, I'll crack the whip and tell her to use MS paint.
