Most of you know that I don't celebrate Christmas, but I though that maybe a Secret Santa thing would be kewl for members of the message board and email groups.

We could limit the gift to $10 or less, and pick partners via PMs.

Anyone interested? I think it would be kind of fun.

Isn't Secret Santa is when a person picks other (or draw its name) and give the person a gift for Christmas?

If it is what you meant, I might join .... depending.

Yeah, basically, we would put together a list of all those who want to participate. Then I would PM you with a random name from the list, and that would be the person you would buy a samll gift for. The recipient wouldn't know who it was from until the day their gift arrives.

Good Luck with it, though, ya'll.

Our glorious Milky Way is a tiny, infinitesimal speck of sand in this vast, incomprehensible universe. And somewhere in that Milky Way is our own solar system, less than one billionth of that speck of sand that is the Milky Way. And then there is our planet Earth, one hundred trillionth of that one billionth of that one speck of sand. And on this planet Earth there is DEV-0, an insignificant blemish with a lifespan too short to measure when placed in infinite time.

And you are here, with them, as so many specks of sand.

Instead of buying something from the store, you can make something homemade from around the house or outdoor perhaps? I don't know if Johnny will allow that though.. o.O;;

I think that's a great idea Chibi. By saying under $10, I meant to not go out and break the bank, that way the gifts can be more of something thoughtful or what not. A handmade gift would be AWESOME! Imagine getting a signed turtle lithograph from Nate, or a hand painted MUSCLE from one of the numerous painters we have on the board. Be creative, make it something really kewl. This should be about giving something special to a good friend on the board, not about going to Wal-Mart and dropping $10 on some random item.

Sounds like a plan. What if we only used one return address. Like JOhnny's hehe. So you never knew who it came from?

12 people so far. Let's square this away by this Friday night, so we can start shopping or creating.

What we will do is this. Every participant will PM me with their mailing address. I will use a list similar to the one below:

1. jkaris
2. Fuzzbuster
3. Chibi Riya
4. Soupie
5. Siccx Degree
6. TigerPrawnMaster
7. smackman
8. Dr. Tooth
9. Rock-n-Wrestling
10. Ridureyu
11. Adamantiumwulf
12. MaxPowerz
13. Imp
14. Boaconda

then I'll draw numbers from a bag and PM you with the name and address of the person you are giving the gift to. Then we can make sure to mail our gifts off by the 17th, to ensure arrival before the 24th.

I would like to, but I am terribly broke... and I don't know how many other people here would want Muppet action figues or a Sherman (of Peobody and Sherman) bobbing head....

Hehe, Dr. Tooth, just join man :woot:. I honestly don't care what I get from my "secret santa" be it a nice card with something small written inside or some little trinket. I just really think it's a great idea and really shows how tight knit this forum/community really is. So everyone who says they're broke, join up anyway and make something :p .

Yeah, Dr. Tooth, you just have to be creative. I'm going to be sending my person a MUSCLE-scale, NASA space shuttle model I made entirely out of broken pencils, chewed bubble gum, and pocket lint.

I'm joking, of course, I would never use pocket lint -- dryer lint is much sturdier. :p

Heh... looks like I found this just in time! ;)

Count me in, and my gift recipient might be blessed with a couple Godzilla SDs or some random MUSCLEs.

And if I get picked, sent nearly whatever. I like surprises.

Though I'm far more partial to those of the Transformer kind. :woot:
