I recently went through and started organizing my nearly forgotten collection of trading cards (well, the non-sports stuff anyway). Just trying seeing if anyone here has any interest in trading for these before I start the process of getting them ready for eBay.

If there is any interest in buying something just post a request here and I'll take more detailed photos and list a price in the thread to be fair. Otherwise I am simply looking to trade these for some LRG goodies :)

In addition to these I also have a stack of promo chards that came with various magazines like Wizard and the like. I have the magazines as well (Wizard, InQuest, Hero, etc) if there is any interest in those. I can post photos of those as well.

Lol... I found a BUNCH of that stuff mostly super hero marvel and DC cards over Christmas. I started to go through them and just decided it was too much work!

I will say that the first and second wave of the Marvel series cards has some GReAT art. Nice drawings from Erik Larson, Mark Bagley, Joe Madura, and Jim Lee too... What like most about the early series is that hey were all original drawings too. Where as it seemed later on they started taking images from pre-existing artwork from comics and covers ect.

And there was that Xmen series that had ALL Jim Lee artwork! That was great.

The thing that I got most out of going through them so far was how lame and dated most of the characters on the DC's cards were. I mean, some of those golden age heroes and villains were absolute dogsh*t; it's like they hired Hanna Barberra to do character design and asked a three year old to give them names.

Lol I know right... I remember the DC came AFTER Marvel had some success with their first card line. And even as a kid I remember thinking that the DC Cards weren't as good... Subpar artwork. Very rushed.

However, this period of the super hero cards was my favorite. Before they started getting all sunny and laminated and CGified... Just simple trading cards. But yeah the DC ones sucked lol!

yeah they're nice cards, and one of my earliest exposure to female nudity ;)

I believe I have the first two Boris sets complete actually. I can post pics of those if you like?

I'll check for you, I don't recall seeing too many stickers left in-tact, only a few empty backs. I know there were at least one or two from JP though.

I'd also be interested in seeing pics.  I've decided to recomplete my collection of cards from youth.  I've already aquiried a bunch, but there are still items I am looking for.

alright, updated original post with photos and itemization. again, there is a lot of stuff here, some I only have a handful of cards, while others I have hundreds.  feel free to ask if you have any questions.

8bitblood, I'll go through and pull the stickers and take a photo for you. everyone else please note that stickers in any of those lots are currently potentially spoken for.

Nice pics of the hologram cards Bach..

hah thanks man, I was worried it'd be hard to get pics of them but it's all about the bounced flash. I have a pretty ridiculous looking set-up rigged in my office at home at the moment to better bounce the light. Got a 36" reflector suspended from the ceiling by two pulleys and lengths of nylon cord ;)
