I just got my hands on Monster Clay and it's amazing. One of the things I used to struggle the most with was smoothing out tool marks. Now that I have a material that smooths with heat but hardens up at room temp I have a ton of ideas to revisit.

Anyway, this little guy is something I put together to test my new ability to smooth out the surface. I should have a mold made this weekend and some resin and keshi models in the next week or so.

What do you think?

That guy looks great! I would very much like a booger green one. You certainly smoothed him up real good. How well does Monster Clay survive thew molding process? That is where I haver been a bit weary with using clay/wax for figure making, I do not want to lose/damage my original sculpt if possible.

Nice and gloopy. Great job there. I would imagine this would look nice cast in a translucent mucous green. Or a color change brown/olive

The figure held up well but I'm shit at making molds so unfortunately I need to do some triage on Mr. Poop monster before I can try again. I'll post the results later on but I tried to do a glove type mold instead of a two part and when I pulled him out I ended up snapping off a few drips and his eyes haha. Funny thing though, he felt more solid after I let the mold sit than before I stuck him in. I think he got cold and firmed up more so definitely let the mold sit and cool down before pulling out the original or you might screw it up.

Thank you! I screwed him up a little when I tried to hurry and throw him in a ghetto mold so I have some work to do but your comments and interest has made me want to get him fixed and try again. I'm waiting on a smooth-on shipment before I try again haha.
