Here's a little capsule review of the MUSCLE NES game from an old book about NES games. It also is the reason why I'm here. If I didn't find this, I probably would have forgotten MUSCLE (perish the thought!!!) and never made the connection between this and the G2 series (or it would have taken me longer!)

The ball the article refers to is the glowing thing that Meat throws into the ring. Whoever gets the ball has improved speed and power. Also, the wrestler can perform his special move.
It's sad that I know that much about the game...

all bandai games art sucked.
i mean look for Ninja Kid, Shooting Range, Muscle and Dragon Power
then compare it with Konami's Castlevania 2

I'm just surprised they use the characters names in the review. All we knew from MUSCLE was Muscleman and Terribull....

What about the Famicom cover art? We all know that most of the american covers for japanese games sucks (compare the megaman v/s rockman).
