How many hardcore collectors of Battle Beasts is there out there?

I can only name a few hardcore collectors that would pay a lot for the beasts but I curious of how many more there actually is?
Let's say a hardcore collector would pay more than 200USD for a beast to qualify as a hardcore person.

There are 14, officially.

Used to be a few more but a couple of them died in a car crash and one guy sold his collection and switched over to collecting stamps instead.

In the end, there can be only one.

Three collections for the Water Kings under the seas,
Seven for the Wood Lords in their halls of trees,
Nine for immortal Fire Beasts doomed to never die,
One for the Beast Lord on his toy throne
On the Planet Beast where the Shadows Beasts lie.

One Collection to rule them all, one collection to find them,

One collection to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them

On the Planet Beast where the Shadows Beasts lie.

There are lots of collectors out there for all vintage Takara so any of them can turn their attention to Battle Beasts any time. It is long term thing but with few purchases each year. Most are actually a great investment as long as you know the going rates. Certain items are so sought after there is no going rate when one surfaces, it just gets scooped up.

Jumbo Machinders are another toy to collect, now they are super expensive.

It's really weird, I am putting on a vintage toy show next week and have met dozens of people who remember and like Battle Beasts in our area alone yet the facebook group only has 155 members. I started my group last month and have 122. Something seems to be off in terms of how many people like the line versus how many join our groups and collect actively.  I think we need more custom figures, less whining and complaining about knock offs and more people actively trying to grow the community. LRG is a perfect hub and resource but we are all fragmented in terms of sellers and buyers, facebook members, minifigure militia members, blog posters.

No, no, I mean as a community we need more customs, more readily available customs.  I am getting custom made weapons made for me, custom playsets and obviously figures. There is so much more that can be done with with the line. It should not end with 112 figures, we should create our own extension, the next 112.

This guy gets it!

Exposure = More interest.

More interest could even result in an actual revival of the IP. (Not by shitty Minimates or the half-assed Beast Saga.)

The Collectors tell no tale; but even as Laser Beasts were the foundation of their wealth, so also were they their destruction: they delved too greedily and too deep, and disturbed that from which they fled, eBay scalpers.

I have already mentioned it privately on a slightly separate topic but;

-transformers has a wider audience

- bb are within the transformers mythos.

maybe its impossible to increase the hardcore community but it might be possible to benefit from the marginal/casual interest of tf fans. Ofc this requires stealth and wisdom as well as care to protect this community

Anyways I do feel that shifting activities to 'marginally' include tf's might work towards attracting a bit more 'marginal/casual' attention towards bb.
