Mostly, I collect various lines of keshi, and MUSCLE, but lately, Battle Beasts are quickly becoming my most beloved series of toys that I collect. The reason for this is that all 7 (and 1 knockoff) that I own, I've found within the state I live in. Some have been given to me, others I've found at antique stores, or a the local used toy store. 

 

Is it just coincidence that I mostly end up with series 1, or are the latter series more uncommon for some reason?

I beleive series one was a little more prominent than the other two series, and series two a little more than series three.

Nice Gorilla Zeutron Defender you have there. He's one of the sculpts that I don't have in either ZD's or Transmegators

 

Good luck on that first LB find in the wild. I remember my first (and only) was a Zarganian at a yard sale for $.25 about 15 years ago. Blew my mind since I didn't even know the LBs existed; BBs dropped off my radar as a kid after S2, S3 never made it to any stores around me much less the Shadow Warriors.

We got S1, S2, and LB's here when I was a kid, but never saw any of S3.

I for sure had some Series 1 when I was a kid, and I think even a couple of Series 2, but yeah, I don't remember anything past that at all. I live in OR now, but CA growing up, who knows - maybe my chances are different finding them here than there
