Ronda Rousey and Cat Zingano lock up tonight for the women's 135 pound belt... The road to this fight has been an interesting one, and both ladies are undefeated thus far. Who do you pick?

I'm not a big Rousey fan and would like to see Zingano win, but my bet is Rousey will win.  I haven't seen any real challenge for Rousey yet, so hopefully Zingano will be more than just arm bar submission in the first minute of the fight.

I read that zingano is making 100k + 100k win bonus. Rousey is making 65k + 65k win bonus. That is kinda random.

Watching Rousey fight- I never from day one liked her. I think she's setup as a marketing gimmick. I can't help it. I bet there is more people pissed than excited about her latest. She probably wasn't supposed to win that fast! Haha....Cyborg got paid more to dive- just was supposed to last longer. Of course- I have no facts to back this crap up! Hahahahaha

She will be phased out soon enough anyway. Soon as someone sexier comes along- hookers get used up, need fresh ones periodically. Hahahahaha

yet another shit UFC event I only watched that and the Ellenberger fight this morning couldn't even be bothered with anymore.

Just watched "Blessed With Venom" the John Wayne Parr documentary though which is bloody fantastic.

It would have to be something special for me to ever pay to go to another UFC event (Not saying it's totally shit) becuse it's not and ive followed it for years and years but it's just not my cup of tea anymore - Glory,One FC and even Bellator do it for me.

I do think - Nelson VS Overeem will be interesting though I like both of those fighters.
Can't get my head round why the keep giving Reem fights though??

#1. Rousey is a world class athlete, with an Olympic bronze to prove that you can count on one hand/have fingers left over, how many women in the world can even hang with her.

#2. I have a suspicion that they have been keeping Reem around in the event that Lesnar comes back, so they can drum up rematch marketing.

I don't honestly know of any active female fighters in or near that weightclass that even come close to her skill/aggression level.

I'm lucky to have a lot of experience in judo and sometimes I walked out and I just got dumped on my head right away and I just wasn't myself that day. I understand that feeling and I know that what Cat is capable of and I would definitely like to see more of what she's capable of."

Beyond that, Rousey downplayed Cyborg's quick win over Charmaine Tweet on Friday night, saying she wasn't impressed with the Invicta Champ's quick win. It came in the following exchange with Helwani:

Helwani: "You know she won yesterday?"

Rousey: "Against some chick that I beat, [in] my second pro fight ever in 40 seconds?"

Helwani: "So not impressed?"

Rousey: "Not really."

 

 

 

I know a lot of people are going to have shit to say about this, but again... She has a point. Cyborg is a glorified can crusher.

Yeah man, I know shes a good JUDO fighter. That's about it for me, in my opinion.

How many fights has she won with the Armbar? All but 2 or something, right? Take away that armbar and what do ya got?

But hey- if nobody can effin stop it, more power to her. If I kept winning fights with one move, why stop!

I bet she loses her next fight, not the rematch with Cyborg, but different oppenent. $5 Jimmy! Takin that bet?

#1. She's never fought Cyborg. We'll throw that one out.

#2. Fights are won and lost in transitions. The girls that Ronda fought didn't just lay down and LET Ronda put the armbar on them, she had to find the opening and transition to have the limb isolated, and then capitalize. 

#3. She has won all but two by armbar... But let's not forget, she won her last two via KO/TKO. She put Alexis Davis' lights out, and took the wind out of Sara McMann's sails with a knee to the body. The armbar is signature... So was Tyson's uppercut... I don't remember anybody asking him to stop using it.

#4. Cyborg just just beat Charmaine Tweet... Who Ronda housed in less than a minute in her second pro fight ever. Cyborg's record is full of people that Ronda has already crushed, plus a bunch of glorified can crushers to pad her stats. Don't buy the hype train, man. 

#5. I'll tell you what, in the spirit of LRG, I'll bet you a standard sized ziplock bag full of random mini figures that Ronda comes out and eats the lunch of whomever she fights next. 

 

 

#A. I laughed myself stupid, when I read a while back, that Dana was trying to get Gina Carano to fight Ronda... Haha, Carano was protected and fought a bunch of cans before being exposed BY Cyborg, and then disappearing from the game altogether. Think about that for a second... That's how much that title was worth.

#1- At the end of the fight when Zingano was talking, and said- " she did it....she did good!"- MAN, I started laughing so hard my stomach hurt. Haha...that was effin funny. That night, every time someone won a card game (playing cards, watching fights), we would tell then "they did it- they did good". Hahahahaha

#2- I accept that bet. Full standard size ziplock full of minis figures...awesome.

#3- I can't wait to receive that ziplock from you! Hahahaha


I LIKE that Rousey has a move nobody can beat...yet.... I also completely respect her athleticism. Like you said, who the eff else has her decorations. I just can't like the chick, man. Believe me, my friends and I damn near start punching each other about this subject. Hahaha

I would write her off as "just being cocky", but besides the fact that she backs it all up... She's actually really sharp. The stuff she said, when explaining why she wants to fight Zingano again, versus why she doesn't buy the Cyborg hype... They are all thought-out, defensible opinions. She puts in the work, and knows her business, she knows her craft. I have nothing but respect for her.
