Wow that came out of no where. Wonder what was so horrible in his life that he did that?

This is the first place I've heard it - never in a million years would have thought he would go out like that. But that's how depression works. Very sad.
He's like this guy that you feel like you sort of know, you know? Like, you can just tell that he would be cool to you if he saw you were having a bad day or something, even though he would have no clue who you were. He just seemed so...familiar.

I will miss Genie. What surprises me the most is that it was a suicide, that makes it worse. The only thing I can think of why, is that maybe he thought his life won't get any better. He accomplish so much in his prime and even in his later years. He was a success, established a family, a career, a legacy. The only problem is perhaps he thought all of that has peaked, his kids are grown and have their own lives, his career isn't get any more fresh, he just recently had his latest TV show cancelled, he could of viewed his life like it was no longer needed, which obviously is not true, but that could of been a possible thought in his head, that he just felt like he no longer served a purpose. That can be very depressing when you no longer feel you have a purpose in life. Many elderly reach a point where they feel they are useless and serve no purpose except to riot and die in a medical care home and that is a depressing thought for all of us.

It was during a time hen he was transitioning into film (from TV).  Still had kind of an edge to it... not exactly the family fare of his later years (not that those films weren't wonderful too).  Good mix of comedy and drama.  Enjoy the trailer.
