I have a soft spot for dogs. Always.
Like when my wife and I watch movies... I can watch some of the most brutal movies in the world sometimes... but boy if there is any scene where the dog gets hurt or killed I'm horrified!

The scene where Boxer gets taken away in the live action movie version of Animal Farm might be the toughest movie scene to watch for me. Horse instead of a dog, but still. It's up there with Gage's deaths in Pet Sematary.

The scene with Boxer from Animal Farm was pretty gut-wrenching. RRC is less Orwellian, but is still a pretty solid read. I feel like a lot of people are going to sleep on it, because it was put out by an indy publisher, but I insist that if you have a chance to read it: Do so.

Yeah - there are a certain number of people that will check out ANYthing that Garth Ennis writes, but Avatar doesn't get enough credit in general. They went from being just a "bad girl comics" publisher to diversifying and publishing some quality stuff. The fact that folks like Frank Miller, Alan Moore, Warren Ellis or Garth Ennis have taken some of their projects over there really says something.
