Is there a reason for this? Are they difficult to obtain due to limited original availability? I'm new to MIMP collecting, and I've only recently finished collecting series 1, and nearly finished collecting series 2, and I'm interested in series 3 as well.

They pop up every so often on Ebay. You just have to keep your eyes peeled. But yes, they are quite rare. They were only released in Canada and the UK through cereal and other promotions.

As far as I'm aware they weren't released in the UK, only Canada/USA - hence why I'm yet to own any. I've seen a couple sell on eBay UK recently for what I'd call low prices, but usually they sell for much, much higher prices. Once I've got my series 1 neon master set then I'll start looking into series 3

A couple of years ago, you couldn't move for Series 3s on eBay, which you would expect considering they gave millions of these away free with food. Not that it seemed to affect the overheated market prices, of course. But there's hardly been any on there in the last 12 months, which is certainly odd.

Oh really? Weird. I don't even know where I got the UK thing from, thought I read it somewhere but maybe not. I only have two more left to go to have a complete set of each monster.

I found a leviathan at the bottom of my closet a few months back. Sold it already to my buddy Behemoth though. I always thought that I had more, so if ever anything turns up the board will be the first place to know of it.

He is happily at home in my collection with one of his dragon brethren. :)

The only third series figure available to UK would've been Blemmyea with the Nintendo MIMP game.

I can't wait to bag my first series 3, but I must stay focused ha! Since I started collecting MIMP again last year I think I've only seen one or two of Orobas come up on eBay/eBay UK. I remember one small lot that had a badly damaged Orobas in it (missing hands i think!) and it still sold for a crazy price! The other monsters pop up much more than this guy. My heart always sinks when I spot an S3 on eBay coming from USA/Canada that has a shipping price of like $25+. There's an Anominable Snowman on there at the moment with a $50 shipping tag. For that I'd want John Travolta to fly it over in his private jet! ;)

There's one or two people who buy Series 3s off eBay US and sell them at a loss on eBay UK, just wait for one of those auctions

Yeah it was the stained one. I already have one in blue, so despite the flaw, it will be nice to have it in two colors.

How much would y'all say a complete assorted series 3 would be worth to you (mixed colors, mixed big boy/shreddies, and the NES figure)?

Hello everyone! Just wanted to chime in on this and say that today (Sat. March 16th) I found a series 3 Canadian Shreddies ORANGE Abominable Snowman! He was in a little baggie I found at a flea market/ collectors show and sale. Once I found this treasure I knew I had to buy it as I do have a pink one and a pink Johnny Squarefoot to! Was so excited to find this! I have never come across an orange one before. The rest of the baggie had a bunch of 1986 SOMA Wrestlers. So that was a good find! Any idea what this orange Abominable Snowman might be worth??
