These are just like the prototypes that we originally sent to the factory to make the steel molds. Hand cast in resin, fully jointed, except that these also have a brown wash to bring out the details. If you are looking for a very unique piece for your collection, this is it!

Im going to have to keep a watch on these. These look great, and very unique from any of the regular RotB releases

I got a box of awesomeness in from Imperfecz today:


80mm, unarticulated rubber, handcast with weapon. I'll have them up at http://littlerubberguys.storenvy.com later tonight.
Light gray (4), dark gray (4) and a bone colored with brown wash (6).

Same as above except he is cast in hard resin and fully painted. He'll go up on eBay next week.

Here is our Ant figure, who doesn't have a name or character designed yet. His antennae didn't survive the cleaning process, so he just has a couple nubs. We'll see about adding them back on during the prototyping phase.

Awesome! An ant! I suppose you'll have to put the antenna closer to the head then huh?

 

Kinda sad it doesn't have a big bug butt XD or at least vestigial arms... we could have done with some Army Ant reference!

 

The ant doesn't need a full name, just make them army builder. Call them 'Ant Troopers' or...even better: "Antrooper"!  Hehehehe.

 

Speaking of Army Ants, the little fellas back in the day had backpacks and other stuff on their back... I think it would be cool to see some figures with an extra port on their back, so that eventually you could attach extra accesories or pieces from other Glyos product. Would boost the connectivity a little bit. Just a thought.

Someone mentioned adding an abdomen to the back for the ant. That would certainly look cool. I just wonder how the weight balance would work. Definitely something to play with.

On a related note, I just got a 3d render fromt he artist for 4 new weapons for the weapons pack. Nothing I can share yet (sorry ) but I will as soon as they are finalized, prior to printing.

You'd probbly have to make the feet longer, add back toes (two on front, two on the back would look insecty enough) and MAYBE slouch the torso a little? Depending on how big it would be off course.

 

Maybe if it has the same mass as the scorpion's tail?

 

Also, by reusing the body, head and legs of said scorpion and throwing in the ant's abdomen and arms you could make a passable spider!

Awesome, digging how the weapons are based on the designs of BB. Like how Pirate Lion's sword is back as well as the Gorilla.

Well there's a weapons pack on the way so you could get a whole troop of them, each with a different weapon! You could give each combination a different name!

 

I'd love some sort of beefy flame spewing gun like Beast Wars' Inferno had, like ahandheld flamethrower!

 

Or a spear, very foot soldier-y.

Not sure if it's true for all Scorpions, but mine has slightly larger gap in between his pincers. Will he be getting a specialized weapon for that? (Assuming that's the norm).

We'll probably be adding a glyos peg to some of the weapons, so he should be able to utilize that. But we haven't ruled out a special weapon for the scorpion directly.

He doesn't need weapons, he's got pincers and a poisonous dart!

Here are a couple pictures:

First revisions of the Lizard and Ant.
Added a tail to the lizard and thickened the Ant's antennae.

We have to make some modifications to these though. The tail can't go higher than the waistband because that is where the joint slice is. Also, I requested it be angled down more. The way it is now, he would probably topple over backwards.
On the Ant, I've asked that the antennae be thinned out some. Maybe halfway between the original ones that were too thin and these which are too think (and look like fingers). We looked at putting them at or below the eyes like on a true ant, but the aesthetics didn't work out. Martian antennae it is!

Also, here are 4 more weapons that we designed:

Each weapon is made with a specific character in mind, although they are not as character specific as the original BB/LB weapons. I'm sure that will change as the line matures.

You decided the tail would be part of the legs instead of a separate piece like on the scorpion?
