I will when the price goes down. Although the hardware for Nintendo consoles the past two generations has been really lacking, you can't deny they have the best exclusive software, so I'll get it at some point, although chances are I'll get Sony's new console first.Who's planning on buying one?
We don't know all the details yet, but there should be three different bundles available:
One priced at $249.99
Another at $299.99
And another at $349.99
The speculation on those leaked prices is about what combination of regular Wii remotes, Wii U Tablets, and Nintendo Land (game), and possible included virtual content will be packaged with the systems.
So, who is planning on buying one?

Yeah, I hope the tablet controller is decent as well, I found myself skipping a lot of great Wii titles because my brain just didn't agree with the Wii remote, and I didn't want to shell out the $20 for a classic controller. That, and, I hate motion controls, they're just annoying. This summarizes my thinking about it as well. I was late getting a Wii and still have lots of fun to have with it. In a couple of years I will get a Wii U once the price drops below $200 and a good library of first party games are established (Mario, Pikmin, Mario Kart, etc.).

I'll be buying it, everything Nintendo does is gold in my eyes.
Your statement sums up how I feel about video games. I play games to unwind and have a little fun for many a few hours a week. First party Nintendo games (Mario, Pikmin, Donkey Kong, Zelda, etc.) allow for this sort of experience. The types of games available for Xbox and Playstation just offer a completely different type of "gaming" experience that I have just never been interested in.Even though a lot of my friends poo poo Nintendo, they still come out with just plain FUN games. They may not have all these first person shooters or super violent games, they make FUN games that I will play over and over.

Bring that SNES comment up to N64 and I'll agree with you. And, Nintendo still makes amazing handhelds.I'll buy one when they are at least half price, not before.
In my opinion the best console stuff nintendo ever made was for the snes.
The best part of the Wii was downloading old games.
They suck at porting over the games i want the most(i wanted the japanese exclusive fatal frame sequel so bad it hurt).
So the fact i have the actual games i love for the nes snes n64 and gamecube already makes getting something new pointless until they have at least a couple years of software out again.
I am more interested in what they release in the handheld market these days.

You passed on GBA? If you ask me, the GBA was amazing. I understand why you skipped the other three, though.Like others here, I love Nintendo, and think their first party games are as good as anything else around. I've been a Nintendo fan since I was six years old, and have purchased every home console they've released (pretty sure the 3DS, GBA, Gameboy Color, and Virtual Boy were the only ones I passed on). BUT, I haven't played the Wii much at all beyond those handful of great first party games. May get this later on, but I'm in no big rush.

Wii sucks arse
Yes, im eating my own words
I always loves the NES and SNES, but hated anything after those (except the gameboy), but i bought a 3DS for my oldest daughter for xmas, and its pretty cool.
Im thinking of getting a Wii for my youngest daughter for xmas, but should i just go straight in and get a Wii U?
I still aint all that keen on the Wii though
