I noticed that on the Kinnikuman thread a topic focusing only on posting Kinkeshi collections existed and didnt see one for M.U.S.C.L.E (Mattel line), if one exists then please redirect it.

I like the idea of a thread just for showing off MUSCLE Mattel collections and recent purchases

I got this in the mail today (the 28 packs #1 #3 #4 with Flesh figures) and for most of you these sets are probably already in your collections. Just recently getting into the Muscle Mattel line in October, its all still pretty new and I read uofmuscle articles on the 28 packs (good resource).

It was a bit overwhelming as a newbie but I just wanted to make sure that I understood everything correctly.

So any help would be greatly appreciated in answering these 2 questions:

1-Four 28 packs where released in Flesh and four 28 packs where released in color? (with the poster offer on box and some without the poster offer on box)

2-It is not know in what particular order or which figures where released in each box? (for example first row of Box #1 had so and so figure first etc). Mine have the poster offer

Now the 28 Packs I got have similar figures in the first and second row for Box #1 & Box #3 (excluding the last 4 figures at the end of the right side). I assume that anybody can just have an empty box and tray and fill it in with 28 random figures but it be great to know if I can definitively find out which figures belong to what box etc

Regardless, not a bad deal for all 3 and the boxes are in good shape.

Still missing Box #2 and all the boxes with color figures if anyone has them :)

Here are some pics!

Muscle Collection #2

„Jumping into a lake“…It’s probably an understatement now lol

I decided (mostly out of laziness and economic reasons) to just buy different lots over the last 6 weeks (both Flesh & Color). The figure total is 690 and I made no illusions of ending up with a complete set but since I was just starting my collection I thought this was the most prudent thing to do.  Later on once I sorted through them I could then decide on buying the ones I was missing individually. In Germany they don’t celebrate Thanksgiving but over the weekend I decided to start my project of sorting out the figures using a reproduction poster I printed out.

I received mostly all of the 690 figures this week. I had a total of 630 and from those 630 here is what I got to my surprise:

Flesh/Basic Set: 200 Figures of 246 (including the 10 figures from the Mega-Match game, the 2 figures from the Wrestling Arena & the Satan Cross figure!)

Purple: 47 Figures

Blue: 26 Figures

Red: 30 Figures

Salmon: 18 Figures

Aqua: 17 Figures

Neon Green: 23 Figures (+ the 5 from the Mega-Match game; technically 28 but am not counting those)

Hot Pink: 13 Figures

Orange: 27 Figures

So 401 figures total was not that bad and not what I was expecting (229 doubles but 30 of which I placed on empty trashcans I received in one of the lots).

I am still missing 60 figures I ordered (30 Flesh & 30 Color) and not expecting to complete the flesh/basic collection (but you never know.

I need something cleared up, I read on the uofmuscle website that

“Because none of the figures were made in every color it is impossible to construct a set in only one color (i.e., Red, Dark Blue, Green, etc.).”

But a Master set consists of…

“This set refers to poster figures #1 – #233 in every manufactured color”

So my questions are…

1-If the figures were not made in every color, how in the heck do you collect 233?

2-How long did it take you to complete a Flesh/Basic set?

3-Who is pursuing the “Unicorn” like task of completing a master set of 1,528 figures?

4-Anyone have any empty trash cans? willing to trade or sell?

Much appreciated and thank you for the welcome!

That was done by one of the dudes here to get a list of what was produced in which color

This is good to familiarize yourself with as well as many will be the most difficult to obtain if you go for a 'master' set

It took me like 6 months to get my flesh set (no satan cross though), could have done it quicker, but I was generally patient and waited for decent prices

Thank you kindly! No class A figures in my lot but the first link was super helpful! I can use that to navigate myself more specifically for each figure and its respective color.

I'd say, give yourself about 6 months to a year of reading casually about the muscle info- Then you'll fully grasp it. THEEENNNNNNN, you will be mad at yourself for being in a hurry hahahaha.....

Awesome start, though!

Yeah, I just finally got a simple overview for myself and now I know about how many of what color exists (or close to that amount). So am thankful we have something like littlerubberguys and uofmuscle for guidance (dont know how people did it back in the day lol). I always loved collecting and Muscle/Kinnikuman has a special place in my collecting heart because its also connected to Pro Wrestling lol
