Got these a couple days ago. They are simply awesome! I don't even want to pull them apart because they look so damn good the way they are. I did pull that piece out that pushed the shoulders out to bring the arms in a bit, but that's it so far...

I ended up having to pass on the drop, which I feel terrible about. I really wanted to pick up these, but our car broke down for the third time in two weeks the morning of the drop last Friday, and this time it was engine problems that have left the car completely dead (R.I.P. 2002 Saturn SL1 affectionately named the SIlver Bullet). I am so jealous of all the pics of the KMs that I have been seeing online. They look like an incredible figure.

I am extremely happy that Marty's first production figure/drop was such a success! I will definitely be there for the second drop!

I want to give a HUGE thank you to jkaris for helping me get a set of kabuto mushis. I have been having a greAt time with these guys. I love the feel and weight that these guys have in your hand. Theres a great amount of detail in them too. And even though i am not great at the building aspect of the glyos figures, but i appreciate the amount of builds that you can get out of these figures. I think it has the most potential for different builds than i have seen out of just about any other glyos figure i have seen. The brown and green are fAntastic, but the pearleescemt metallic red is fantastic. Heres a couple builds i did. Two of them were self contained and one used pieces from armorvors and a spy monkey golem. The last one i tried making a mech war walker for yhe crayboths. When i get some mini mushis in, they might take it over. I painted up a Kabuto Mushi for a friend on another board, and I thought I would post it here to see what you guys thought. I tried something a bit different with him than what I normally paint. The Mushis are definitely detailed, but it's detail in a very different sense. They are not the hard, crisp lines that I normally paint with Battle Beasts and some other smaller lines. There's more of a rounded, organic style to the sculpting that I felt lended itself more to a paint job playing with tonalities. And looking over the the figure, I got an idea of him being a Golden Scarab Golem Mushi that had been buried under the sands of Egypt for thousands of years. So I went with an even color way of egyptian gold and bronze, then tried aging the metals. Some of the changes in tone are a bit subtle that they don't show up as much on camera, but they are there. There are a lot of different layers as I progressively worked my way through the change in metal. I then finished it off with turqoise jewels, which were very common in egyptian jewelery and charms and what not. Anyways, here are some pics. Let me know what you think.

In case any LRGers that like Kabuto Mushi don't keep up with new releases, the glow and silver are still in stock from last night's drop. Mine are already shipped and I should get them on Friday.
