Yesterday I realised what the Crayboth really remind me of: Garthim!

Wow! What are the Garthim originally from? They do look spookily similar to the crayboth.

They're the coolest (arguably) characters from The Dark Crystal. Basically they were an army of giant crustaceans enslaved to the evil overlords.

Just got 2 Pheydens and an Exellis. (And a freebie Crayboth thrown in ;) ) Really neat little dudes. I've had lots of trouble finding action figures that can take a hit, plus originality is cool. Too many figures based off of lame cartoon series lately. Only problem was one of the Pheyden's eyes got scratched when I was popping it off to see if this megaman head I have fits on his body (it does =P) but according to Matt:

A few of the paints used on the last round had a little trouble bonding to the plastic. I usually coat them with a sealant before I send them out but must have missed a few. The newer stuff has tougher eye paint in general. Try applying some Tamiya clear coat or Future floor wax and that will help those eye problems out. I will hook you up with a new Reverse Pheyden if you don't like the one you have.

So it's all cool ;).
Also saw in an interview where Matt was talking about toys that inspired the line and Battle Beasts was brought up - so it's KINDA LRG inspired. :)
Anyway,

Divide & conquer works because of attachments people make to push-button issues, individual "leaders," parties, clans, tribes, policies, or agendas, leaving them open to manipulation.

Those keep drawing my attention as well. The lead character isnt bad but when looking at the comparison shot with MUSCLE and MIMP figures the Crayboth fits in a bit better.

Not to mention that in reminds me of the Wraiths from ROM the Space Knight comics.

BTW..thanks for the pictures Malosavich.

Buildman released and warp zone open :p

Buildman Standard -
Posted Image

Buildman, something that has been a true mixture of fun and hell at the exact same time. After a year and a bit of trying to nail this guy down the time has finally arrived. Consisting of nineteen separate parts to go crazy with, Buildman opens up new possibilities for customizing your own creations. As a special thanks to everyone for their endless patience, Buildman Ranic will be offered at $8 out of the gates. I hope this makes things a little easier to tinker with in these hard economic times. Thanks a million to all that have supported the journey of the Buildman, you kept us going and are the backbone of what we do. Don't forget to look around for the secret stores- can you decipher the passcode?

That PHANOST figure is awesome :D

Attached File  Phanost_Standard.jpg   94.92K   14 downloads

I ordered a Crayboth 2-pack and stardard Sarvos the other day and even though I haven't received them yet I had to order one of these. I have been interested in these figures since they were first posted here and I just never ordered them for some reason. I have a feeling that once I see them in person I will be ordering a lot more.

I ordered a Legion Pheyden yesterday and still went ahead and got the secret figures. Didn't wanna miss out this time.

the figures look cool an all, i want to buy some, but i don't get it, there only seems to be a few different sculpts and the rest of it is a bunch of repaints. not really extensive, more for just army building i guess

More Crayboth are on the way but first thing is to get at least one of each figure. Then I will go on army building (Crayboth, Buildman, etc).

You can check this link for a review of the new Phanost head sculpt : Phanost review
I don't know from where the 2 non standard Phanost come but I need them.

Glyos ! Gotta catch'em all

I believe that the body from the non standard Phanost on the right is from a special Excellis they released for a short time, They sent me one free with a large(ish) order a while back, I havn't seen the black heads before though, hopefully they will be in the warp zone soon
