I was cleaning out my toy cupboard for my son and come across my MimP collection, I was lucky enough to get 2 of these star jotun's I sent one away to get the reward. I still own one, I can tell you now there are two pics on this site of the "Star Jotun" one is fake the other is real. My Jotun's were the same colour.

PapaTez, if you have pictures, please provide them! (If you don't, please get some!)

Everybody here on the board interested in MIMP would love to see another star Jotun.

But that would give away which one is a fake and which one is real. When I said same colour i ment my 2 not that they were purple, highlighter orange to be exact which is apparently neon red since looking at this site.
When you sent it away you did not get it back, don't quote me but they sent you a plain (no star) jotun back, hence the rarity of them.

Also how do I post a pic?im on my phone

Take a pic... and then go down to the right hand corner of the comment and click on "more options", there you will find a button on the bottom left side that is for attaching files (or in this case photos).  The rest should be self explanatory.

Good luck, and congrats on the find!!!  Very exciting!

I might be new to this, but there is no options at all, there is is a box to tick to "follow this thread" a "add reply" button and a "full version" button which when clicked my phone has a muppet and closes and reopens
Do I need to get onto a computer?

Ahhhhh... my bad!!!  Perhaps click on full version FIRST!  Then it will be the regular site as opposed to the mobile site.   The mobile site is what I know the least about.

Papa, feel free to send me a PM and I'll send you my personal e-mail. You can e-mail me the picture and I will post it on your behalf.

I know the site doesn't agree with my phone for uploading all the time either.

I am curious where you are from PapaTez. Neon red is a pretty rare color for Jotun Troll and it has only been know to come from France like a good number of other rare neon figures. Being a star monster on top of being neon red is pretty amazing!

Fantastic find! Interesting how the this star matches one of those already on here. I'm even more uncertain about the first one now.

Awesome! The style of the star is the same as on my purple one. Nice to see another example in a different color. Now we know they did the star in the same way on at least some neons. And as Paul said, Jotun Troll in neon red is pretty hard to find even without a star.

What country are you from?

Well, now we know which one was a fake!

Unless there's a forged Jotun ring going around, trying to discredit the one true Star Jotun.

Yeah, I have no problems calling it like it is. The likelihood of them creating an entirely different stamp for an incredibly limited promo just seems very low.

So, we're agreed that the two matching JOtuns are part of a grand conspiratorial forgery ring meant to discredit the one with the sloppier star, right?

The fact that the sloppy star and this new Jotun are both of the neon variety, making the scenario of "they changed molds when they switched to neon colors" all the more unlikely, is extra damning. Amazing find there PapaTez!

You folks realise that all three trolls are different, right?

The neon red one resembles Frank's purple one a lot, but the typeface used for the numbers is different.

Sure enough.  Even the 3rd example is a 3rd typeface.

There's still a larger gap with the sloppy star.  Someone should compare 20 point monsters to see if the font difference is visible, though.
