Showcase #45: Chibi/Mini Kinkeshi
When I visited Japan I ended up with a lot of Chibi/Mini Kinkeshi from purchased lots of Kinkeshi. Unexpectedly I ended up with almost a complete collection and unlike Amada Kinkeshi; the Chibi Kinkeshi are easier to tell apart and separate in terms of bootlegs/pachi or unmarked/marked figures.
I also refer to them as Chibi/Mini Kinkeshi to avoid confusing myself with the Amada Kinkeshi sculpts as they are also referred to as mini Kinkeshi.
The only checklist I found online was this one: http://www.din.or.jp.../kin_chibi.html
This Japanese website has been one of my two "go-to's" when it comes to checklists and according to that the series has a total of 30 sculpts.
Assuming they were made in the standard 5 colors (Flesh, Green, Blue, Red & Yellow) it be a total of 150 in the collection.
However pachi versions come in additional colors like brighter versions of the 5 standard colors or even Pink, Gold or Silver; I am only missing 2 sculpts to have a complete collection (Akuma Shogun & Jean Steamboard sculpts).
Those (the Pachi) are still super cool looking and fit well next to the original versions (as can be seen in my picture).
I have seen the regular Chibi/Mini Kinkeshi packed inside the TEX blister packs (2 per package); in Gashapon form they were available for 100 yen back in the day.
So if anyone has Akuma Shogun & Jean Steamboard in any color please let me know!
