This is going to be a longshot (since i posted it on 2 other sites without result) but i'll try it anyway

i'm from belgium, toycollector for many years, and end of september i'll be visiting west coast USA hoping it will be a nice trip.

But i was also hoping to find some toys (since its a habit of mine to bring back toys from all over the world :-) ) - i won't have a lot of time to visit shops so i was hoping to maybe find someone who could meet at an hotel to trade some stuff with -  i was thinking of taking a small box with me with european exclusive stuff to trade against things i'm looking for (if anyone thinks its a bad idea? i don't think it will be a problem to import some old toys?)

i'll be doing LA and san fransisco - don't know exact area or dates yet

I collect almost everything so if anyone would be interested (i've posted some pics - the last one with the gi joe's are not all mine, but i could trade those) i collect almost anything so if you are looking for something PM me - but i'm not taking anything that won't fit in a bread box

also most of my figure are loose without acc

i'm looking myself for

Inhumanoids - don't have to be pristine condition

transformers monstructor (don't has to be pristine condition)  or american only G1 figures

alternatively if anyone could give me adress of a good vintage toy shops which might store the items i'm looking for i can check out how far they are from my hotel

So, you are a European guy that wants guys to meet you in a hotel in San Fransisco for a quick trade?   Sounds like a John Waters script!

(Sorry, man, I couldn't resist.)

I won't be in Cali anytime soon, but I have plenty of experience trading with folks in that part of the world, should you ever want to set something up when you get home.  I have a decent amount of toys, as well.    :)

Sorry bud, but this made me laugh a little when I read it! Anyways, hope you manage to get some cool stuff though. When we took in San Fran as part of our honeymoon I came back empty handed - nothing at all to be had around the Bay Area. Well, not that I could find anyways.

Tinypink - well i'm home now :-)  i've already made some contacts (on another transformer forum) for the european transformers but everyone interested was located to far away (seems america is really big? had no idea :-) ) and shipping was just to expensive

Bigburty - yes i know its a real longshot but you never know - i've found an ultraman in the jungle in Laos and a kamen rider i was really looking for on a fleamarket i stumbled up by accident in bangkok... so why not someone with a lot of inhumanoids he wants to trade for some tigerforce or G2 transformers - if i don't try ... :-)

I also got my rountrip details: - san fransisco - modesto - yosemite park - bakersfield - las vegas - page - flagstaff - scottsdale - san diego - los angeles

only one or two days at the maximum in one area - everything by bus - will be hectic - my trading plan seems to be more and more unrealistic :-)

Yeah Toys4sale is a no trades kind of guy, but it never hurts to try and he always seems to get some pretty cool rare stuff. I'll keep an eye out and see if there is anyone with inhumanoids in the CA area.

my priority wants are inhumanoids or G1 transformers with USA release only - with my main focus the Monster pretenders, monstructor since i always wanted icepick as a child - i don't need the parts to form monstructor, since thats what usually makes him expensive (up to 200 for a complete monstructor) - the shells and robots would already be cool.

Come to think of it the small pretenders would be easier to transport then a big inhumanoid metlar :D
