See, I never have had any love for Boba Fett. Sorry/not sorry, I don't get it. I watched the movies, and never had my imagination captured by the guy, and his resume is not all that impressive (Vader captured Solo, Fett gets eaten by a giant ground-gina).

So, there is a trend now, in toys, where lots of people just put a Boba Fett head on something, and it's "genius" or "rad". It was probably Sucklord that started it, but man, give the Boba Fett shit a rest.

Use Predator heads, or something. At least Predators are sweet.

I never got the Boba Fett thing either. I think the craze started in the '90s. I remember people being all hot for the Fett POTF action figure. Even the Fett from that bendable figure line was impossible to find back then. I always found him to be a relatively uninteresting character. If I have to see people putting Star Wars heads on other toys, I'd much rather they use Bossk. He's at least a cool-looking reptilian dude.

Bossk is equally as underachieving, but looks a million times cooler.

I always liked Boba Fett from the movies as a kid.  I always thought he looked cool with his helmet and jetpack.  The later story lines with Jango and the clones I didn't care for that much.  Haven't really noticed many customs as of late with the Boba head/style but that's just me probably.

This was always a favorite scene of mine seeing all the bounty hunters lined up.

I think a lot of his popularity amongst Star Wars fans is derived from the stories in some of the novels.
His story in the "Tales of the Bounty Hunters" novel, where he takes down the butcher of Montellian Serrat, shows what a calculating hunter he actually is, and how deeply he is set in his personal convictions. I enjoyed it, and I am not a huge Star Wars fan.

But, sticking his head on other shit is just silly.

Maybe that's it. Wasn't he in "Shadows of the Empire" too, which I think was really popular in the mid-'90s?

If I remember correctly, wasn't SotE predicated on "Hey fans! We're giving you a Boba Fett story where he actually gets to do cool stuff! Here's a bad guy with the letters X and Z in his name, because 'It's the 90's'."

I can't believe there are any Boba Fett fans left after what Lucas did to the character.

I don't care for the butchering of the character but he is the greatest bounty hunter in all the galaxy. Rubber hammer captured the idea completely. He was cold, calculating and most importantly nothing ever stopped him from completing a bounty.

The movies, ironically enough, did a terrible job portraying this. They did the same bullshit with general grievous. They built him an immensely cool back story and he had one of the shittiest and easiest deaths in the series.

I thought he was a great foil to Han Solo.  Mysterious, silent (for the most part) and he just looked cool.  Never mind all the later crap.  I think it's pretty unanimous that the later clone shit sucked.  None the less, when I was little I remember feeling like he was a really big deal.  Now, I can speak for all the putting Fett's head on stuff.  That's just kinda meh. But then I've never quite understood the whole playing Frankenstein with one's toys thing... unless it's a new cast.

Frankenfett? I heard he survived the Sarlacc pit.

He did, but lost an eye, and a leg.

And, went back , from time to time, and scorched the hell out of it with his ship. Just never enough to kill it.

Boba Fett was one of my favorite characters in the old movies and one of my favorite figures as a kid, but the only Fett stuff I have now is a Fighter Pod and a Hallmark ornament.

I might have seen a couple Fett homages over the last few years that looked cool, but they aren't for me.

Yoda, Boba Fett and Jawa, in that order, were my favorite figures from the line when I was a kid. Boba was just a very cool figure. The character didn't really do much though.

As far as lopping off his head for other figures. The Mandalorian helmet is pretty cool, so it make sense that people would kitbash that head. It's certainly been overdone though.
