Kinkeshi on the left. Presumably Kinkeshi Dickieman in the middle. Muscle on the right.

The Dickieman is much lighter than even most sunbleached flesh kinkeshi that I've seen. It bends like Kinkeshi unfortunately I don't have another Dickieman kinkeshi to compare it to and it seems that it doesn't bend "as much" as you'd expect it to.
The texture is very smooth. I tried to capture the glistening of the texture in the photos as best I could. It definitely shines more than any other kinkeshi (legit or knockoffs) than I have seen thus far.
Unfortunately, documentation seems to be pretty sparse. I can't tell if this sculpt was ever included in knockoff sets but I haven't seen another one like it yet.

Does anyone have a kinkeshi Dickieman similar to this? Can some of the experts weigh in. It's not important per se but my curiosity is pretty piqued.
Thank you and sorry for the image rotation... still learning the idiosyncrasies of this site.

I'm no keshi or bootleg expert - but based on my limited knowledge... some of the keshi bootlegs still had the original markings on the back (where as some speared them out).  If you feel that the consistency of the rubber isn't quite the same as other keshi (original keshi series), and given that it's got an almost shiny sheen to it... my money would be on it being a knock off/ bootleg.

I hope the helps!

Good luck!

He looks to me like a re-release figure:

Pics 13, 14 and 15 from the top.

They are lighter, glossier and firmer than the originals. Almost like a M.U.S.C.L.E., but not as dark or firm.

This seems right. I don’t have any other re-releases to compare do but I guess I do now. Thank you a lot!

I tried to look for a visual archive of re-releases and came up empty. Naochin’s page has been down a while and it seems like that was supposedly the most comprehensive.

I'd been struggling for a while to find a good list for the reprints, especially as there are a few new figures added. Only a couple of days ago I found them on the Bandai Japan website.

https://www.bandai.c...ebutton=#result

That link should take you to search results for キンケシ (kinkeshi) so the top few results are the new sets, but if you go onto the second page of results you'll get the reprints.

They're not the clearest pictures, but I combined that with the lists online of the original set to work out what's what.

I'm not 100% sure yours is a reprint though as it doesn't look like it says CHINA on the back?

No China on the back. I think the re-release didn't have China.

Well shoot, I don't see the Dickieman in these results:

https://www.bandai.c...5&sort=z#result

These say China on the back? That would be helpful since I'm not sure how to distinguish from earlier runs aside from experience if there's enough of a difference. Hm.

Mystery solved!
From Naochin’s page:
http://kin29mankeshi...battlegame.html

Translation:
<About the battle game for the throne>

A battle game using Kinkeshi.
Similar products existed during the boom period of 1984, but they were not just resale.
It is causing a completely new mold. There are no common parts.
The gimmick is also simplified,
It hits back and forth, left and right, and knocks the opponent off the hand.
Considering the roughness of a hot child, it is better to be as simple as this
It may not be broken.

Eight Posing Kinkeshi of Part 19 are included.
Like the 1991 version of Kinkeshi, it is made of hard PVC.

Dickieman is part 19. Good to know!

Nice figs!
