I got an email from someone who was told by a TRU employee that there would be a release to coincide with the cartoon release, but so far this is uncomfirmed.

ok cool , i would think hasbro or matel would have info on their webpages ,but i can not find a thing.
either way MUSCLE_dex now has full support for a kinnikuman.dat file which is the 2nd generation toyline. I'll be uploading it tomorrow once i test it out to make sure it's bug free

Well, I didn't see any Kinnikuman toys in the coverage of the toy trade shows this year. Kinnikuman seemed to be absent from both Toy Fair 2002 and San Deigo Comic Con, which leads me to believe that there probably won't be any Kinnikuman toys this year.

that kinda hurts.
i've seen the japanese toys and i think kevin mask looks great ,but the store that had them wanted about 30$ per figure and well i didn't want to spend that much on a 5 inch figure
since i saw them on ebay for 9$
maybe it's one of them their surprize toy things going on
cause i knew a toy line back a while ago that no word of it was at any store, book,or con then it pop onto shelves. i forget the name tho.

A release with the show would be cool.
If there is going to be a release this year they probably want ultimate muscle to get a fondation before they start putting out merchandise.
Ill be happy wether it is this year or next though. I would love to be able to walk into target, wal-mart, toys 'r' us and see muscle items for sale.

yea i mean the memories the old toy line has and the new memories the new toy line will bring.
it would also be nice to see a memory pack come out with the 7inch figures that were released in japan
you can see warsman in action and buffalo man on nathans page the ultimate muscle link

I'm a bit anxious as to the pricing of new Kinnikuman toys, though. I noticed that the Yu-Gi-Oh figures (which are about the same size as MUSCLEs, but painted) are about $3.00 each. Medabots are pretty much the same price. I won't be too thrilled if I have to pay $3.00 for each Kinnikuman figure...
-Nathan
PS- Yeah, I know... inflation raises the prices of toys. But old MUSCLEs were about 25 cents each. $3.00 for a new figure would be 12 times what the old figures cost. There's no way inflation has raised prices 1200% in the past fifteen years. A small MUSCLE-sized figure costing $3.00 is completely unreasonable.

If the figures come out at $3 or so, I'm flying to Japan, buying a shizznitLOAD for 100 yen each, and bringing them over for resale.
Then they trip would MORE than pay for itself.
