hey guys, i'm a serious boglin collector and as its getting harder for me to find any of the larger type i have started concentrating on the mini boglins,

my problem now is, how the fudge do i tell the difference between the 'rare dudes' and other tribes that seem to have the same sculpts??

this has seriously baffled me lately and i cant seem to find any answers on the net (unless im looking in all the wrong places)

if anyone can help then it will prove my original theory,, this site really does have some awesome people who know their shit!!

i know its guarenteed there will be someone here who knows the answer,

nice one all, im gratefull for any replies or help with this one

Biz

From what little I can tell, it seems that if they're from the "Rare Dudes" tribe, the high-ranking ones aren't engraved (no crowns or envelopes or anything). As for the rest, I'm just as clueless as everyone else!

I've read that bit about missing markings before so i think that's right. This confused me too tbh but i think rare dudes are figures done in a certain colour that you normally wouldn't find them in, later colours say.
how accurate that is, i'm not sure. Strontium is likely to know i'd imagine.

I should think "Rare Dudes" can be distinguished from earlier issues by being available in the newer colours.

yeah, it is TOTALY confusing, i know one of the greedys is part of the rare dudes (the one stuffing a huge pizza in his mouth) and i have him in a neon red/orange colour, does this mean he's actually a rare dude

This was confusing me as well! I have the pizza stuffing guy (Gulp) in green which would make him an original Greedies tribe member, but yours Biz is a later colour which like Stronium said would suggest to me your particular one is part of the Rare dudes.

Personally, I've never seen the point in collecting the Rare Dudes - even when I was 12 I thought that it was a lazy idea. But then, if you're going for all the colours as well, I can see the attraction. A bit.

No it doesnt mean he is a rude dude, the greedy in question is available in later colours only as he is a 1994 boglin.
As far as i know there is no way to tell the rare dudes apart.

Hey Aikola, nice one for the info, it pretty much sucks that you cant tell them apart though!!

basicaly, if you got a double of these guys, then you can make a new tribe called the rare dude? am i right in thinking this?

i cant believe that they ran out of ideas and got so desperate that they had to 'reuse' some of their previous sculpts!!

i'll still have collect them though :D

Hello,

Sorry if there's rules against this, but I've had a bit of a clearout and put a load of Mini Boglins on eBay.

Greedies: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/250931400763
Clumsies: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/250931453810
Jokers/Pranksters: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/250931414448
Tough Guys: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/250931432436
Army Guys: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/250931436914
Rude Dudes: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/250931422304
Freaks: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/250931458720
Disgustings: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/250931461117

There's a little over a day left on these, so just thought I'd give them a plug to help gain some flat space (and extra cash!) before Christmas.
As already replied to somebody, total P&P will be much cheaper if someone were to win multiple items.

Thanks!

Hey dalsto, nice one for the heads up on your auctions,

i have seen them and theres only the odd 1 or 2 from a few tribes that i need, but unfortunately i aint prepared to pay £4.99 just to get the 1 i need along with more doubles that i dont need

it may be worth while if you start a new topic in the boglins section of this site and add a link to your auctions there dude, you may get more views that way,

cheers anyway dude :good:
