Check this out! Palisades Toys is rereleasing the old Micronauts line!

http://www.toymania....icronauts.shtml

I'm especially interested in the Baron Karza and Force Commander. Although they're pretty pricey ($22! :D) , getting vintage complete ones is a bee-eye-itch and incredibly expensive, so I'm really looking forward to getting my meat-hooks in at least one of them.

Now if they just release the new Microman line over here... that was one of the coolest toy lines!

The Baron Karza and the Force Commander are about 8 inches tall, and the other figures are Star Wars size, about 4 inches tall. A little generic background: Micronauts was a toy line from the late 70s that emphasized interchangability. They were alot of fun! The newer Micronauts line was released a few years ago only in Japan. The toys from that line are some of the most fun toys I've ever seen!

Anyway, I have an old Baron Karza that doesn't have any fists or accessories and I'm looking forward to finally completing him!

i had a white dude and a black dude and a horse, but like i said i only had them for a day. the kid who owned them collected karate kid figures and he only needed two for his collection so i managed to persuade my dad to buy me the two he needed and i swapped them (if you ask me this was apretty clever, well thought out plan for a 9yr old) then i went round my friends house and he was almost begging me to trade which i did, but my mum got mad and foiled my plan.

That's right! And the rounded mangets give them plenty of movement, like a ball and socket joint! And that Baron Karza auction is pretty nice! I think I'll just get a new one, though... the new ones come with the horses, too.

But remember that the new ones won't be quite as "dangerous" as the old ones. They've implemented a few safety restrictions regarding missiles recently that make the toys a bit tamer.

The new Micros are awesome! As a word of warning to everybody, as I am also on the Micronaut list, look carefully at the figures when you are buying them! The factory that made Series One had very poor QC, and some of the figures are broken in the package.

Huh! I didn't know that. Thanks for chiming in!

So how do you know if a Micronaut is from that factory?

Regrettably, they all are. Anyone who is going to buy a Micronaut, look carefully at the figure in package to make sure they are okay before you buy. Palisades is going to do a special 1.5 series of four figures through their website from a new factory to make up for it.
