I am always trying to find ways to display my Kinnikuman collection.

So here’s an idea :D

I found some old gumball machines at a flea market and I thought: „man it be cool to fill these with Kenshi“.

I ended up buying some empty capsules & I already owned 5 vintage Kinnikuman Gashapon Daishi (Display Backers).

Finding an original Gashapon machine would probably be expensive so I made high quality scans of the Daishi & formatted them to fit the gumball machines (I used comic backing boards to give them that cardboard feel).

I have Daishi #7, #10#,#14, #17, #18 & I placed the corresponding number Kenshi from the reissue 29th anniversary kenshi (with Bandai in the back)in the capsules (since the original Kenshi damages/melts plastic).

I have 2 extra gumball machines and now am looking for more vintage Kinnikuman Daishi. I want to collect the other 23 Daishi from the original 30 but that’s gonna be a long long journey!

Yeah I know; I need to display them in an open space or shelf (that way you can see the plastic capsules) since the other 3 sides are clear.

Very cool idea! Would be a fun way to reward kids; let 'em have a go at the machine for every test they ace.  :D

Any chance you could upload those scans? I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd like to see them close up.
