When I heard these were coming out I was very happy!
Although I didn't order them in the pre-sale phase I thought I would not have a hard time getting them afterwards (on my own time). I waited a bit and just decided on going the Mandarake route since the prices are still reasonable there and not on ebay for example (the prices are nuts on ebay).
Mandarake (although sometimes expensive) has both volumes on sale (I bought both volumes & with shipping it was a total of about $125 bucks; I live in Germany so I thought that was reasonable)
They sell out but keep getting new ones (you can find them on a weekly/daily basis). So I recommend buying them now when its still affordable.
I received them today and I thought I was not getting them with the BANDAI mailer but I did! If anyone ordered them through BANDAI; did they ship them just like that? meaning only using the mailer as a shipping box? I ask because the volume mailers have this sticker on top that very much looks like shipping slips (but am not sure).
Both volumes are new and unopend (minus the mailer of course) and each Kinkeshi is placed in its own respective bag for extra protection.
I have not had the heart yet to open them & am not sure I ever will.
Even though I love the vintage line more I wanted to support the product and was happy to do so.
The boxes are smaller than the original 28 figure boxes, practical for display purposes but I would have liked if they had that same look and size to have continuity with the old boxes which ended after Box #11 and the Crystal Kinkeshi boxes (the only small gripe I have with the sets).
For more info on the figures The University of M.U.S.C.L.E has a great blog by Professor Terry on volume 1:
