That's that. Now I won't be getting him and Kurt Russel confused anymore at least.

An interesting thing to note, though, is the pancreatic cancer. It's speculated that steroid use eventually causes pancreatic cancer, and was one of the reasons Michel Landon passed away from the same thing.

I'll always remember Patric Swayze's most realistic role-- the motivational speaker from Donnie Darko.

Our glorious Milky Way is a tiny, infinitesimal speck of sand in this vast, incomprehensible universe. And somewhere in that Milky Way is our own solar system, less than one billionth of that speck of sand that is the Milky Way. And then there is our planet Earth, one hundred trillionth of that one billionth of that one speck of sand. And on this planet Earth there is DEV-0, an insignificant blemish with a lifespan too short to measure when placed in infinite time.

And you are here, with them, as so many specks of sand.

My Aunt passed away from Pancreatic cancer and she was not on steroids, never given steroids for medical reasons, etc.
Just thought I would pass that along.

Patrick Swayze was a good actor, not exceptional, not great, but good. I loved him in Dirty Dancing, my all time favorite Swayze movie, and that is how I will remember him.

Asator I love that video hahaa. Two great entertainers taken before their time if you ask me. I always liked Roadhouse and he had another one that was sort of cool and I cant think of the name, some kind of hit man or something. Doubt it was caused by steroid use.

I wasn't saying that all pancreatic cancer was from steroid use; there's a 'suspected' link, though no studies have been tried due to the illigality of anabolic steroids.

Also, the ad by Google currently is "Free sex offender report from neighborhoodscan.com" -- any connection to his character from Donnie Darko being mentioned, I wonder? Or is it just a coincidence because Doc posted?

It's sad though because the whole sketch isn't there. I remember seeing it air live when I was a kid.

Oooh, I found a full version. HERE. Watch it quick before youtube takes it down.

i also liked roadhouse. i think i like it more because it reminds me of my childhood than the "story". the only other action movie of his i can think of was next of kin. but i never saw that.

I always liked Dirty Dancing....Interestingly enough I remember watching it all the time when I was a kid and being fascinated with the choreographed scenes and the oddly placed dress style of the characters....cause you know I didn't know what the 50's and 60's were yet. But mostly the music always stood out to me. Crap I didn't even understand what was going on in the movie back then. This was around the time I actually remember asking my Dad "Was there colors back then?" Cause all the old movies he used to show me like Jerry Lewis and the Three Stooges were in Black and White. You know put two and two together, old movies were black and white, and new movies were colored...sooo, they must have only recently invented the color spectrum. :D

Dank you are right, next of kin is what I was thinking about. It has been so long since I have seen it that I have no idea of the plot. Also, how could I forget Red Dawn, that was a childhood favorite of mine.

I just watched Road House. I had forgotten that I watched it once before and now I remember why I never watched it again. Movie was good, but Sam Elliot was killed in it and I LOVE Sam Elliot! I hated that he died in it and never wanted to watch it again.... dang...

Now I have to watch something where he came out on top in the end..... :(

Oh yeah, now I remember what movie it was that I saw Swayze's ass! LMAO forgot about that too! e+

I just got a TV and hooked it up to the cable in the dorm. It seems like any channel that had the rights to run a Swayze movie is playing it. BET has Too Won Fu, USA has Roadhouse, Spike has Donnie Darko, and there's several others with various related movies popping up.

I wonder why this didn't happen when George Carlin passed away? Or Rodney Dangerfield, for that matter?
