It did not take long for a new fun mini figure line to spawn more collector debate and vitriol.
Disappointing.

Those who want to do the master set gimmick are entitled to do so. Those in favor of the thrill of the hunt don't have to.
Did you get a set for free? I don't think more or less of you, either way, nor will that influence how I feel about the line.

Take a deep breath, and chill folks.

Plastico, hat is a great idea. The only problem is, somebody is going to get left holding the bag on salmon figures, haha

Salmon will be great for painting :)

I'm glad the sets are being offered but I sure wish they were offered from the start. I know others have ordered lots of packs and now have duplicates sitting around and
Without the chase a toyline gets stale rather quickly. We have it too good these days.

At least I got this sweet skull pitcher to hold my set!

I was unaware they offered the master sets not from the get go. I can understand your stance more PlasticSoul. Maybe they can release master sets on release of whatever their next release will be.

Yeah I paid 400 bucks for 9 sets trying to build a master set only to find out a day later the master set was made available for 320

That just sucks.

I bet you can get an exchange though. The people running the line are pretty damn nice.

I'm sure you can find board members to buy singles off of you, to recoup at least some of that scratch.
Hit me up. I'm only looking for a few of them, and they were all in separate packs.

Yeah it goes both ways. Imagine how you'd feel if you spent a few hundred bucks trying to build a master set over the last few weeks and now you see master sets for sale. I always enjoyed the trading aspect of mini-figure lines especially when you don't have "rare" figures to deal with.

Though I would love to find a bunch of people to toss money in to buy a master set that we split so each person gets one color. So if 8 people here want all 12 figures in one color it would be like 35 or 40 bucks each. I want magenta or light blue.

If I liked more than 3 or 4 figures, I'd be balls deep on this for a red set. This is a great idea.

I'm glad the sets are being offered but I sure wish they were offered from the start. I know others have ordered lots of packs and now have duplicates sitting around and

All of the figures I wanted were in separate packages. There has to be a few people like me only looking for a few!

That's utter shit. Did you at least get a master set?

So the 3 packs aren't really random.
The 9 colored sets I got equal a full set of colors and flesh. SO I don't have any extras. Just have to bite the bullet on this one and lick my wounds.

I'm interested in maybe trading a figure for a figure to get a purple one (that would give me one figure in every color).

I'd trade any of the following for a purple of the same figure:

  • Flesh Snotpile
  • Flesh Murdroid
  • Flesh Gumongous
  • Salmon Arthur
  • Salmon Time-Gore
  • Neon Orange Ichor
  • Neon Orange Psycops
