I got the Battle Beasts minimates of the Giraffe and  hammer head Shark cause it was there when I was eyeballing the Yutani Commando and I went ahead and got it and just threw it in because it was on sale.

it's kinda ironic the last thing I'd purchase from Toys R Us was a giraffe

So that'll be my last memory of walking through the aisle taking advantage of toys r us always being there and throwing that in my cart thinking well it was cheap and I like the way they looked a couple years ago. I seem to think of it more highly of that giraffe warrior  then the yutani commando now.

heheh.

What about you?

What was your last toy there. A specific one that stands out to you recently?

Last thing I bought was a few amiibos when they first came, 2014 I think? Even then it was to resell, I can't think of the last thing I bought and kept.

All the Pacific Rim Robot Spirits figures by Bandai. I’m only a little surprised people on a toy board haven’t bought stuff more recently.

I don't know about the other Toys R Us, but the one here was going down hill ages ago. The store always looked a mess. Things stacked on things stacked on things. They had no idea of over stock or how to deal with it.(This is coming from someone who works the backroom of Target) Their prices were almost always higher than any other toy/retail store.

This brings back memories when I was a small child in the late 80's. Every Friday night my father and uncle would go to high school football games. My mother would watch over my cousin(my uncle's daughter) and myself. My mother would take us to Toys R Us because they would have mascots at the end of every isle. We'd look forward to seeing Jeffery the giraffe, M&M's, and other mascots. It was easy to please us 5 to 7 year old kids.

Ah the memories.

Last Week I purchased some Video Games for my Nintendo Switch and a 20 inch Mario from Jakk's Pacific.  All at a 30% discount.

In September of last year I bought a Fisher price press and go monster truck for my daughter. On the same trip I was eyeing a madball (dust brain) that was I think 12 dollars. I couldn't justify the price tag but my wife bought it for me. Prior to that there was another toysrus closing in january of the same year and I got a couple petri dishes of fungus amungus figs at 50% off. I can remember in the 90's I always loved looking for the Spawn repaints. They were $3.50!

Think the last thing I bought was Star Wars Attack of the Clones figures back in 2002. Like fisheye said I always found them to be overpriced, I will miss that little dirty every Xmas though
