It feels like this family is too stupid to not have lost someone by now. They are still trying to protect the daughter by not telling her anything they've known since the first episode. The mother and father both have gotten too close to zombies they were trying to help when they've known since episode 1 that these people aren't just sick.
The showrunners said before the series started that they thought the audience would like that they know more about what's going on than the characters do, but it's actually frustrating to watch. 3 episodes in and I'm rooting for 2 or 3 of the main characters to die.

The son has it right though. These are reanimated dead people.
Hopefully it picks up now that there are only 3 episodes left.
I hope Season 2 has a full batch of episodes.

Anyone else sick to death of the shaky hand-held camera work so prevalent in movies and TV these days? I like FTWD so far, but during this last episode I had to watch the TV stand for most of the episode because it was giving me a damn migraine.
I know the technique is not new, but I feel like it is impossible to escape nowadays. Those in favor say it "increases tension" or "adds reality". "Nuts to that!" I say. You can build tension with things like good acting, cinematography etc. You don't need to shake the damn camera and/or zoom it 3' up the characters' noses. And reality shmeality. I don't know about you, but my eyeballs and brain don't process movement in a way that looks like the monkey-on-meth shooting style all these hack directors are using.
Anyway... I think the show is decent. I'm probably in the minority in that I am fine with it going slowly and I almost wouldn't mind them taking even more time to develop the story.
Thank you

No thank you. I hope season one ends with everyone dying except for maybe the junkie and his sister. Then the mid-season finale of the REAL walking dead has one or both of them randomly appearing as new characters a year into the future or whatever. That would be cool.

I agree. Didn't like the sister in the beginning, but they made her character pretty unlikable in the first couple shows.
I wonder what people in the government and military think of the show and movies like Day of the Dead, 28 Days Later, The Crazies and other similar movies where people fear the military just as much as the infected.

The best thing about this show is that for once it actually has me looking forward to the real walking dead show.
Whatever though. The fact a show like this gets made and ends up popular while Hannibal gets cancelled just makes me think the world deserves a zombie outbreak.

If Hannibal were on a cable station as opposed to the big networks, it would have survived. The ratings were good enough for a FX or A&E type of basic cable network. Its sad they couldn't find a home.

Yeah it sucks. Netflix wanted to pick it up but since Amazon owns the streaming rights they wouldn't allow it. There is a chance it could be ended properly with a movie which i'd be happy with i think but the odds are slim.
