Thinking back to every video i saw before these were out and every picture i've ever seen i think we now have all the sculpts that have been made. The octobertoys guy said as far as he new no other waves had actually been produced as of yet.

Is that how things usually go or is THIS the point where jakks decides to finish the line or call it quits?

George actually said series 4 has been made for sure, but he doesn't know after that. It would be very disappointing if they don't finish off the 100 figures. A failure in this line could also lead to similar toy lines not even being attempted, and I don't just mean SLUG aliens and monsters.

Especially since they released that online poster that showed all the planned characters. There are some later ones shown on it that I'd really be disappointed about not seeing if they don't get released.

I wish we could somehow know how these are performing overall. I have no idea how kids are responding to them, but I have personally noticed a lot more interest and enthusiasm about the line among the toy collecting community ever since series 2 & 3 came out.

Yeah, that would suck if this turns out to be another Fistful of Power.

You mean, the SLUG plastic is going to start breaking down and make the figures appear cloudy?

FOP sucks, from a quality control POV.

I never noticed that. Although I haven't looked at (or cataloged) my FOP hoard in years.

If you look at the shadow figures, they develop a film that can't really be washed off (at least all of the ones I had did). If you can wash it off, it'll be back within the week... It's from where the plastic is degrading. They used really cheap shit. There was a thread on here, detailing that "phenomenon".

I agree. I hope this toy makes it through the 100 figures. It wasn't promising when I saw they were replaced by Ben 10 at my Toys R Us a couple weeks ago. Target did seem to have sold a lot of the 3 packs of series 2.

It happens on the Crystals as well, really not cool! I think Slugs will be just fine over time, solid colors seem to at least not show any degrading.

I grew up on Ninja Turtles (by Playmates), Batman (Kenner), Marvel (Toybiz), and I'm a product of the 80's & 90's. I am currently buying mostly 2 inch scale & some Marvel stuff in 3 3/4 or 6 inch. I am also a painter & sculptor when I need to pay for fun things like bills & food. Strange toys make me smile

I really hope they finish out the series. I have emailed Jakks 3 times and they gave me a lame answer each time. I was even told in their reply that I am not supposed to share the contents of their reply to me. So double lame...can't share the info even when they didn't give me any info. Ha! Basically the guy said he would send my message to the right people and that was about it. Not reply and no real info. Entertainment Earth still has no pics for series 5 or 6, so who knows...? I really hope they finish out the 100, because I desperately want the tire zombie and several of the others...like the dead and the graveyard guy and pretty much all of the remaining ones are the best in the series. I want Ben Franklin really bad,,,the surfer girl...all of the celebrity ones. :( I would love to have several sets of the remaining ones, so I could paint some, sell some painted ones, give a set each to my kids, keep a set for my office, and give them to friends when possible. It would kill my wallet, but I love these...and the childhood memories they bring me from the old MUSCLE figs and the likes of those.

I wouldn't take the lack of pics and info as a sign of death considering no one here knew they were making xmas slugs until someone spotted them in an actual store. Even then he got called a troll and a liar for it cause we didn't think it was possible.

So i don't think it's over...yet.

I saw this ad in a comic book that came out today. Granted it's showing series one figures, but it does mention all 100. I buy comics every wednesday and have not seen this ad until today. I take it as a good omen.

I've heard through a little birdies grapevine that series 5 is tooled, so I'm guessing they will be making it to stores.
Don't give up on this line yet!

I'll be surprised if they do another series where 3 of the 4 three pack exclusives are in the same pack.

awesome spot of the ad in a new comic book. i love reading through my old gi joe and transformers comic books just to see the ads for crappy toys, xray glasses, and things of that nature.

also, glad to hear a rumor of wave 5 being tooled so that'll give hope that wave 5 and beyond may still be in the works for the slug line. i'll keep faith alive there will be aliens/monsters too

They're great little figures, I actually think they're missing a trick here by not releasing in Europe, I think they would do well here. Also I missed Series 1 so I need them to release here
