Releasing Monday at 9am PST in Obsessed Panda's online shop will be a micro run of 4 hand painted Tug O' Wars. Inspired by his love of Godzilla and painted with shades of metallic, opaque and bright greens. Then finished with gold hues and white highlights before being completely clear coated to create that shiny wet look. I think they all came out beautifully. My favorite part is the radioactive belly! Priced at $55 bucks each the run size is pretty small so be sure to check his shop when they drop if you want to snag one for yourself.

Love that green on him. I'm sure I'll have zero chance at one of these. Good luck to anyone here who's going to try and get one.

Thanks everyone!

It really is a blast seeing other peoples versions of this monster. The shark thing was something I wanted to see all along but this one has almost a frog look to it which I didn't even think of while I was sculpting.

Love of Godzilla... painted in bright green. Hmm.

The look itself is gorgeous though! Something about the simple job on the boat I really like too.

Maybe it was inspired by one one the bright bootleg knockoff Godzilla toys!. Not really sure but I like how it came out. Has a frogger vibe I really enjoy. Obsessed Panda is doing one for me personally as well so I'll be sure to share pictures whenever I get it in hand.

Why aren't more of these figures produced so everyone has a chance to get one that wants one?

This is a group of 3 or 4 people from what I gather. They're not a work force of people able to just crank out figures. It's just realistic that they can only make so many. Work, life, other hobbies, and possibly new figures in the works all come into play. I'll most likely never get my hands on one of these but it's still damn cool to be kept in the know about them.

As far as the blanks go there are lots produced and people who pay attention here were able to grab a couple colors easily. I actually did an open pre-order here on LRG with one of the recent colors so anyone who wanted it could reserve one within 48 hours just by saying they wanted one. There was no drop to chase or chance at missing out at all. I can't do any better then that as far as availability.

With painted runs it is up the the artist painting them and that is that. Retroband was up for painting 20 or so and Obsessed Panda asked if he could paint 5 of them. They aren't factories and very few people who do toy stuff actually do it for a living so it's whatever they are comfortable with and have time for and will have fun doing. My toy specifically is waaaay lower priced then most vinyl so instead of charging around 200 bucks for their painted versions they have been charging around 50 so it's less money for them on top of being more difficult because Tug O' War is pretty detailed and small.

I get as many of these produced as I can but you have to realize that I come out of pocket for everything at some point so a lot of it comes down to what I can afford and what I think I can sell. I don't make toys for a living, it's just for fun. Most stuff eventually pays for itself if I'm lucky but that isn't always the case.

I can understand. I work 60 hours a week and don't have much free time myself.

I would be happy to get a blank unpainted Tug O War. I would get him professionally painted by someone.

I would be willing to pay upfront for future runs so you wouldn't have to come out of pocket for everything.

You'll be able to grab a blank in the future easily I am sure. I don't want to do the factory pre-order thing though because if I took payment and then placed an order the wait time could be up to a year and that's just not fun for anyone involved. I've seen it go wrong countless times before with other toys whether it's angry customers or shipping issues or even the color being off so I'm not going to even try it. So when I do pre-orders they will be of stuff I already have in hand for sure.

Maybe it's PM?  Still hasn't dropped!

Yeah it was a little wonky because so many people tried at the same time it actually froze his bigcartel shop.

When Obsessed Panda did this run he was kind enough to do one for my collection as well. He asked if I wanted one exactly the same as the Zilla version or if I'd prefer something similar with different colors.

What he created for me is just awesome and I call it King Crab!
