I just got done watching episode 4......

I missed the beginning (I was playing Kingdom Hearts), but what I did see was pretty wicked.....

though King Muscle (Kinnikuman) looked a bit.....uhh.....too old......

cool that they actually mentioned Kinnikuman, and called "Kid Muscle" Mantaro Kinnikuman

I was pretty pleased with them, considering after watching my dvd I was not expecting 2nd gen to be cool at all. I do have two gripes though. One, they made Kinnikuman an old fat wimp, that sucks, he looked cool at first but when he stopped sucking his gut in, he looked like crap. Two, no way in the world could terry the kid beat Buffalo man, even if he is older, did you see how fuking huge he is? No way in hell. I thought it was cool Ramen man beat that one guys arse, so whats going to happen to that guy? I did not see him at graduation, is he out of it? For good? I thought he was kind of cool. Al in all, I am pretty pleased with the episodes thus far. I even kind of enjoyed the fart match, I am not into that kind of humor but the fact that they played classical was funny as crap. Ok, my two cents. Laters - Jason

okay, I missed the cartoon this morning, but are you saying that terry beat buffalo man?? What the hell? Buffalo man is way cooler than terry. I'm pretty upset at this.

Well we need terry kid
so they can rekindle the kinniku & terry tagteam (this was highlighted in episode 2)

buffalo man was abit much i think he should been -vs- tea man or susami

King Muscle was cool until he flubbered out ,but he was very strong considering.

the most humorful part of episode 4 was mataro's mother
mother: "thats my boy and husband in the ring who do i cheer for"
Robin : "ever see my in combat"
mother : "no"

of course it's parapharsed but i found that soo funny.
since robin never even battled in either episode.

I liked the two new shows! The first one was pretty cool, but the second one was the real winner, I think! The fart contest between Kid Muscle and King Muscle was hilarious! I also liked how King Muscle let himself go (physically) so that he was just a decrepid old man. Great stuff! I'm a big-time dork for the new show... although I am eager to get to some wrestling between the Muscle League and DMP.

I guess it wasn't explained well or something, but Kinnikuman didn't really "let himself go" so to speak. What happened was what happens to football players when they get old. His body took too much damage during his fighting days and never fully recovered. They say he's like 55 years old but has the body of an 80 year old because of all the fighting he did. I thought to was dumb how in the dub they called him fat when he isn't. In the manga they say he can't even eat Gyudon unless it's put in a blender first.

The orginial time setting of Ultimate Muscle is 30 years after the end of the original muscle storyline. King Muscle is 52 years old already. The American version changed it to only 10 years, that is why King Muscle appeared way too old for the American audience.

The fartting match was a bit much. Funny at first but went on to long.

Now you know why king muscle has been hiding out. He looks terri-bull.

haha. That was bad.

so far I am pleased with the show overall. I am glad to see kid mucsle crying and whinning a bit less in each show.

dmp Vs the muscle leage cant wait to see that.
