How do you all keep track of which muscles you have/need?
I sorted mine the other day by comparing each one to the pic on the poster and then writing the number on each figure with a magic marker (just kidding- I put them in little zip lock bags and wrote the number on the bag). I used a laser print of the poster and hi-lighted the pic as I put the figure in the bag. So now I have a box full of figures in bags but I still have to sort throught them to find a specific figure.
When I see the trade lists in the "Got Toys?" forum, that makes it hard for me to connect the figure to the number.
Is there an simple way to keep track?

Here is how I keep my doubles.

Styrofoam, Permenant marker, and mucsle men. Number the spaces where the figures go. Then stick them in the appropriate spot. Easy to see what you have and what colors you have.

I have a couple of those odds and ends rack. The ones with the little pull out plastic drawers, like you use to keep screws and bolts and stuff in. I labeled each drawer 1-236 and have a few left over. I can only fit 6-10 of each figure per drawer though, so I have a plain cardboard box for "overstock". But it makes filling a list a breeze. My colors aren't sorted yet, only bagged by color.

I keep all my fleshies together in one large container and all my coloreds together in another. I keep track of the numbers I have with computer documents I write out. Like the list I just posted. It's on my computer so when I trade/sell certain ones, it is easy to edit the list.

Works pretty good! :D

I actually made a spreadsheet in Excel to add and sort my figures by color and number. Just a few formulas and the totals are right there for you.
Easy to use once you type in the the right equations and it's simple to edit.

A spreadsheet is a very good idea. I was thinking about doing that too, but I haven't had the time to load the software. Either that or I've been a lazy M.U.S.C.L.E. Head! :D

I use an Excell spreadsheet as well, it has every number, every color, rares, and unique parts of my collection on it as well, only three pages too. I plan on putting it on my site some day so others can take advantage of it.

Ask Warsman all about MuscleDex. It's a program he created and you can download it from his website. It's awesome. Ask him about it. :)

For the muscles i need i've printed out a sheet
with the numbers 1 - 236 on it. As i collect new muscles i need i just highlight the number , it very easy to see what i have/need then.
as for storage i have my self made ring to show you all which pic's will be out very soon!
